Explore your potential but with a pinch of salt

I chose B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering as the tech market is booming and it is the most lucrative industry these days. Coming to the course curriculum, it is not fixed it gets changed every year according to the industry requirements which is good as you get to learn new technologies. Some faculty members are great but some don't even know what they are teaching. Sometimes the same faculty is teaching multiple subjects which they don't understand themselves. Some faculties are also outsourced for specific times throughout the course duration. Exams are very frequent there are FAs, then STs then End term exams. Almost every fifteen days you have some sort of exam. They are not that hard to pass you can even pass it just by reading the previous night before the exam.

Many companies come for internships. The first company to come was BAJAJ which gave 25k monthly as a stipend for a year for the role of frontend as well as a backend engineer. Many companies come for internships, like FICO, XPERI, Finxera, DXC, etc. Mostly internships are of one year.

Students become eligible for placements from the end of the sixth semester. Initially, companies come for one-year internships. Many companies visit like Bajaj, KPIT, Tech Mahindra, FICO, DDN, MoEngage, etc. Every company takes 3-4 students on average. Currently, the highest package is 22 lac offered by Scaler. Most of the companies give packages in the range of 6-10 lacs. Almost all the students get placed. The average package is 5-6 lacs as of now. Roles offered by companies are Software Engineer, QA Engineer, UI/UX developer, Fullstack developer, Data Analyst, etc.

Fees are quite low compared to other similar universities, there is no fee hike between the course. There is no sort of scholarship but if you have a sibling studying here only you can get some discount. Currently haven't got a job on campus will update you later.

There is an annual fest called Algorythm but since 2020 it has not taken place. There are many DJ nights conducted frequently and standups also. The library is well equipped with all sorts of books. Classrooms are fully air-conditioned with projectors. There are many clubs like NCC, NSS, GDSE, IEEE, CEED, etc. There are sports events like badminton, cricket, football, etc taking place regularly.

For me the admission process was very easy it was wholly online as I am from the Covid batch(2020). I didn't take any entrance exam and I don't think there is any entrance exam for admission here. There is a 10000 rs fee as an admission fee which you have to pay with a first-semester fee to get admitted into the course. Chitkara, Baddi branch only has a Computer Science department now for B.E. For other streams, you can get admission to the Rajpura campus. Admission can be done online very easily from the university site, there are no such eligibility criteria for admission everybody is welcome.
