Remarks

There are three lawns in the college- Ashoka Lawn, Library Lawn and Canteen Lawn. Every Kirorian hangs out there in their college life. And I found it great too. The pathways covered by the shadows of big trees makes it so peaceful. One of the best infrastructure I have seen. Best place in my life.!

Entrance Preview

There was no entrance exam for my course, i.e-B.COM(H). The admission was completely merit-based. There was neither any interview. Only we had to score as per the cut off percentages that came in the cut off lists of Delhi University. Bcom Honours provides me with a variety of career options available. And also I wanted to do banking or join the corporate sector. There is no doubt that I'm in love with the commerce subjects.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

As for now, the course I chose has been satisfying to the mark I thought it to be. The Delhi university syllabi are vast and very good to crack Indian Level Entrance Exams of any kind. The focus on practical learning has been sharp. As they taught us tally until now and there is going to be a practical test for that too which marks will be added in the semester total. There are a lot of research initiatives taken by Kirori Mal College. The college provides with a range of Elective options. There are so many subjects which are not compulsory and yet we can choose any one of them as per our wish. There were also foreign languages as German and French in Elective options.

Internships Opportunities

No, the college do not provide with any internship. It provides with societies which does provide with internships. The certificates of those internships are very useful. There is no stipend paid for works done for the society.

Placement Experience

4

There is a great chance to get good placements with great packages in Kirori Mal College. The students whose percentage were more than 90% got placed in good companies. And the minimum percentage required to sit for placements is 60%. Some of the major companies that visits the campus are Deloitte, HCL, ITC, Google, Amazon and many more.

College Events

5

The college conducts all types of Fests whether it be Technical, Cultural or Managerial. There is no time to sit idle as there is one after one fests. Some of them big enough that students from all over the colleges of delhi university visits Kirori Mal College. In the fests organised by the college, the college authorities contributes for the fests or else the society pays which organises.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of the college is very affordable for everyone. For my course (i.e. Bcom(H), it cost me Rs 10,280/- per year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provides with scholarships for the north-eastern students, disable students and also the poor ones. The college does not help in getting loan. But, education loan could be easily taken for admission.

Campus Life

4.5

There is a great deal of extracirrucular activities in the college. The societies being a major example. There is ample opportunities to explore one's inner talents. Also, I have noticed personality development in all the students by the extracirrucular activities.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Though I don't stay in the hostel of the college, I have heard a lot about it from my friends. There were single occupied rooms as well as double occupied rooms. The same could be chosen by us while submitting the form of hostel. Students are given rooms as per their results. I have tried hostel food many a times and everytime it has been good. The food is not much spicy nor very simple. The hostel fees is paid after they select the students for hostels. It is paid in the cash counter of college.

Alumni/Alumna

There helds alumni programmes in the college foundatiom day. On this day, the students could interact with the alumnis of the college and know about their experience in this college. The alumnis make a great impact in the overall development of the college as well as the students.

Exam Structure

The internal exams were held in such a way that we got enough time to study. The question of the test were not very tough. Also the environment of the class remained so peaceful during the test that it always boostes my energy and never made me feel tired. So, basically it was a chill culture.

Faculty

5

The faculty of my course are highyly qualifies. All of the teachers having Ph.D in their own subjects. They have at least submitted 10 articles of their own and have contributed to the contents of books accepted by Delhi University. Also, the teachers are very interactive. They are always available for any help need by any student. They teach their subjects in a way that is understood by everyone and they complete the syllabus on time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
