Remarks

There is nothing such as bad thing about ISBR, because they focus on almost every aspect of academic life, like events, functions, lectures, competition, sports, Industrial visits, educational tours as well.

Entrance Preview

I appeared for MAT, and scored 79 percentile. It was a college that was providing what I wanted with various choices in courses and specializations, as well an international trip during the academic year was icing on the top.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Well since the course I studied was MBA, we had project every semester where it was mandatory to do a thorough research on the topics of our projects. Most of the times, research included Quantitative analysis and Market research which was somewhat easy for us because we had research related subjects like Market Research and statistics and Quantitative subjects in our curriculum.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, Our college does provide internships. Campus selection used to happen separately for internship program. In fact I also did my internship through college only. the company I did my internship from was Verbinden Communications located in E.City Bangalore, which was a startup back then, but now its flourishing and has added quite a number to their workforce. Average stipend the companies that provided were between Rs 5000 - Rs 15000. Lot of companies did not include Stipend in their internship programs. Some of the companies that came for internship program were ICICI Bank, Verbinden Communication, ITC, Wipro, Unibic etc.

Placement Experience

4.5

The campus in the college started in the early 3rd semester itself, few of the students were recruited in the companies where they did their internship from. the companies started coming from September, 2015 - till late May, 2016 i.e. after the session got over. I myself got recruited through campus selection by Magnasoft Consulting, Global Village Special Economic Zone, Bangalore with a Package of 4.5 Lakhs/p.a. Amost all the students were placed by the end of the session. If taking in percentage them 95% recruitment happened through out the session. The packages started from Rs 3 Lakhs and went till Rs 10 Lakhs. Some of the companies that came for recruitment for are Naukri.com, HSBC Bank, ICICI Bank, Magnasoft Consulting, Vodafone, Siemens, Objectwin, P & G, GE, Sify, Spice Telecom, Time, Thompson Reuters, Adecco, Angels Broking, BPL, CareerNet, Mphasis, EY, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, SunLife Insurance, Amazon, Swiggy, Hiree, Muthoot Fincorp Ltd, Bajaj Insuarance ltd, TCS, HCL etc.

College Events

5

ISBR Business School is a very vibrant college.Events are a vital part of curriculum in ISBR. Every Saturday use to be some kind of function whether academic, cultural, corporate talks, or technical. we had a lot of clubs ranging from cultural, CSR, Marketing, IT and Media, Writer, Finance, HR, Sports etc to maintain the events happening in the college. Apart from one day events like festival celebration, women's day, corporate talks, fairs, farewells, valedictory functions, freshers, etc. fests also happens which can stretch from 3 days to 1 week easily. We have ISBR week happening in September every year, Samanvya during March, Valentines Week during Feb and marathons and inter campus competition also happens.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since ISBR provides both MBA and PGDM Courses, the fee structure of both the courses are different. For MBA the fee structure is feasible comparatively to PGDM courses. for every courses fee structure varies depending upon students choosing international trips, one semester abroad and global courses. Apart from this course fee also includes a Laptop by College.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, ISBR do have Loan Facility tied with lot of Banks in India. I myself have availed the loan services provided by college through Central Bank of India. and ISBR have ties with Karnataka Bank, Corporation Bank, Union Bank, SBI Bank, PNB, CBI, Oriental Bank, Maharashtra Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank etc

Campus Life

4.5

ISBR has huge diversity from all over India, Gender Ratio doesn't have huge gap. Since ISBR is in South India, Still lot of students were fromNorth India staring from Jammu & kashmir, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, UP, Rajasthan, MP, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, WB, Maharasthra, Chhattisgarh, Orissa, Bihar, Jharkand, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Gujarat etc. We used to have lots of extra curricular activities like debates, extempore, GDs, various cultural and academic competitions as well.

Hostel Facilities

4

I never lived in the college hostel so really can't say much about it. But as per my classmates the rooms were good and hygienic. proper cleaning used to happen. And since college hostel was in front of college, students did not have problem of conveyance. Proper food services with a huge course menu every day during lunch and dinner.

Alumni/Alumna

We have a huge Alumni network in ISBR, and the alumnus are very helpful and very supportive to the juniors. I myself never had any interaction with Alumni.

Exam Structure

Since ISBR Business school is affiliated from Mysore University, the exam structure was tough. Every year the question paper use to be a surprise for students. Internal exams and tests were frequents. No labs for us, but Viva use to happen and Mocks were also held to prepare students.

Faculty

4.5

When I was studying, the faculty of our college had a huge diversity. There were a lot of permanent faculties as well as fair share of guest lecturers. The quality of study materials provided by the professors were very good and had IP rights for the security of notes leaking. The professors were all capable enough and guest lecturers were on of the best in industry with huge access and knowledge of marketing and subjects they used to teach. The lectures by professors were more practical oriented which made it easy to understand the concepts.

Placement Experience:

Placements in the college are good for marketing specialization. Compared to other specializations, from semester 2 itself, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Deloitte, KPMG, ICICI Bank, and HDFC Bank visit the campus. The highest package this year was 40 LPA, and the average package is around 6.5 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed is 70% for now. After getting the degree, selection in a good company is my plan.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered is moderate and there are limited opportunities for high paying roles compared to top tier colleges. Companies that visit the campus are mostly small to mid sized organizations. The placement cell is very supportive and conduct training sessions such as aptitude tests, mock interviews and soft skills development to prepare students for placements.

Placement Experience:

Placement in my college is decent, wiyh around 90% of students are getting placed. Students usually become eligible for placement in their final year and the college provides internships opportunities before that, which helps in gaining experience. Many companies visit to campus mainly from marketing and sales, along with some roles in HR and operations. The number of offer is good but option for finance and analytic are comparatively limited.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would like to rate the course 7 out of 10. Because as these is a distance learning many difficulties occur. I am doing a MBA in ksou after my graduation in b. Com. As ksou comes under UGT it is more helpful for the job seeker. As per my knowledge the faculty should conduct a more classes may be through online so that the working people can attend the classes from wherever they want. There are many distance learning courses in ksou academic platform but they are not handling in a accuracy. They take a lot of time to announce a results, even to conduct a exams they take a lot of time. The question paper are sometimes difficult and the question will be from out of syllabus which will be difficult to attend. Distance learning course is difficult to manage
