- There is a huge problem with the parking. Cars are not allowed for students. If are a late, you wont a proper parking space.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the BBA Business Analytics Program because it is required in every type of company unlike other specializations, whether it be a grocery store or a car company. And I love statistics. The faculty is very good at teaching they are well educated as most of them have PhDs and Masters in their respective fields and have good experience. There is 1 teacher for every 60 students. There 2 semesters every year. The exams for 1st mid-semester might be in Oct/Nov, the end sems in Dec/Jan, 2nd mid sem in March/April, 2nd the end sems in May/June. They are 40 marks each. They are not very difficult but just reading one book will not work
Internships Opportunities
Chorizo, my captain, etc are companies that are associated with MIT WPU that provide training, internships to students. The students are trained under various industry experts. The projects really depend upon the field that you have chosen.
Placement Experience
I just finished my FY. I am not aware of any details about the placements. There are a lot of MNCs that come to the campus and make offers like Google, Accenture, Infosys, etc. The highest package ever offered was around 44+ lakhs per annum. 80% of the students get placements. My plan after getting my degree is to work for 2/3 years and then apply for MBA abroad.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am not aware of any fee hike policy. But I know it's a bit expensive. There are many scholarships available at MIT WPU. There is a catalogue available online on the official website. Each scholarship has different eligibility criteria. I don't know if the college offers any on campus jobs with stipends.
Campus Life
There are many fests conducted at MIT WPU. The annual fest is Arohan. The campus life is the best. The library is always full of books, 5 copies of a single book are available. There is an online library as well where you can download pdf as well. The class has comfortable benches, and a smart board with 24/7 internet. MIT has one of the biggest sports complexes. With a lot of extracurricular activities, you join various clubs like dance, music that are already filled with talent, and forums like HR, Finance, etc.
Admission
The Process was very simple. If you have 45%+ in 12th in English medium, you are eligible. You can find the form on the MIT WPU (Mitwpu.edu.in). The application fees might differ depending upon your choice of course. I chose BBA Business Analytics and my application fees were approx. 1500?. You have to give an entrance exam. You have to start studying for it from the beginning of your 12th. The only thing is that the college declares the examination dates a week or 2 before. You have to check your emails daily. The exam happens in the month of May. The exam is for 100 marks. In 1 hrs. I scored 74. You get the results immediately after the exam. Then a personal interview is conducted to check your general awareness and stuff. After that, all you have to do is wait for THE email.
