Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty at IIFT is great. The faculty-to-student ratio is approx 1:7. The teaching methods followed by the faculty at IIFT are very practical with applications. There are in total of 6 items in the course. Each set consists of 7-12 subjects. There are multiple quizzes throughout the trims in addition to midterm and end-term exams.

Internships Opportunities

The college offers summer internships to all the students in various companies. The internship lasts for 2 months. The average stipend is 2.6 lakhs and the highest stipend is 4.4 lakhs for 2 months. The projects offered are in the domain of consulting marketing product management etc.

Placement Experience

The college offers 100% placement with a plethora of companies visiting. The average package stands at 29.1 lakhs per annum and the highest package is around 86 lakhs per annum. The roles offered are senior level managerial roles.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course fee is approximately 22 lakhs for gen candidates. For category students, the tuition fee is 50% which still comes to around 17 lakhs. Also, there are multiple scholarship options. For summers you get an internship opportunity in different companies which offers a good amount of stipend.

Campus Life

There are various events that are taken out throughout the year. The events include inter and intra-college sports and cultural and managerial events. The institute is completely student-run so various kind of elections takes place.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is very well facilitated. The hostel has Acs freeze washing machines etc. Also, there are sports equipment kept in the hostel. Meal qualify is decent. There are various food options nearby in the form of dhabas.

Admission

The admission process is very difficult. There is an exam conducted by IIFT separately for entrance. It consists of 4 sections which are Quant, DILR, VARC, and GK. The application forms are normally released in September. For category students, the tuition fee is 50%.

Interview Experience

There was an entrance exam after which a personal interview was scheduled. The interview consists of extempore and life-based questions. Also, it is essential to have good knowledge of international business, international policies, etc.

The Real Unbiased Truth of JIMS Kalkaji

Placement Experience:

Placements of my college are average when compared with other B-schools of similar level. The companies which have visited so far for internships are mostly start ups like Wealth Blue and Outlook, but some other companies like ITC, Bajaj Capital and Coca Cola moon beverages have also come on campus. The highest stipend promised so far is 15,000 for 3 months or 10,000 per month for 2 months. A lot of students are yet to be placed, both for final and summer placements. My plan is also to get a job post my PGDM.

Compass provide a place the highest package our were born is 20 lakhs per annum from the Fite department and the average placement gets around 8 to 10 laks and the minimal is7-8 lakhs. The placement is good in sales and finance department. Most of the companies comes for sales and Management. You can also offer for the finance.

Good opportunity in JIMS

Placement Experience:

From 4th trimester onwards that if from August onwards after coming back from 3 months summer internships, companies come for placements and students can apply to the companies. The companies that visited campus are DELOITTE, KPMG, ACCENTURE,TCS, RANDSTAD,ICICI,SBI, MOTILAL OSWAL, BAJAJ, ASIAN PAINTS, ADITYA BIRLA, BLACKROCK, GRIDLINES etc. and many more. The highest package of our batch went for 24 lakhs( Oman based company) , average went around- 7-8 lakhs , lowest - 4.5-5 lakhs. Profiles offered- Sales head, operational manager, Deputy branch manager, Junior Analyst, Analyst, HR - talent acquisition team , underwriting team etc. Right now more than 80% of students have gotten placed and rest are in the placement process which will be till April. I have been placed in ICICI LOMBARD for Underwriting and Claims process and will be joining the company soon.

IIFT:- THE MOST UNDERRATED BSCHOOL IN THE COUNTRY

I chose iift because of the following reasons 1. It's one of the oldest Bschools in the country which makes it having one of the strongest alumni bases. 2. The location of the college is actually great , surrounded by Sanjayvan and also in the heart of delhi. 3.It was very near to my home to commute was very easy 4.The fees is a bit less as compared to top IIM's. 5. Placements are at par with some of the old IIM's. 6. The roles for finance and are at par with IIM Calcutta. I applied to mdi, wasn't able to make it there because this year they had some mishap in the admission process in which they gave admission to more number of students than the number of seats available. I got admission via IIFT's exam where for general the cutoff was somewhere around 98%ile for Delhi Campus and 96%ile for Kolkata Campus. The application was available on IIFT's official website which remains active for around 4 months i.e from Sep to Dec. It costs around 3K for general students opting for MBA-IB. Eligibility - Minimum 3 years UG program from a recognized institute with 50% minimum score. I took the IIFT entrance exam. Got around 96 percentile. Then there was the Extempore and PI round. All information was available on the website. I come from an EWS background so got that quota.
