Remarks
Green infrastructure. One of the most green universities in India. Many canteens in the campus. There are two campus facing each other on the either sides of the road. Each campus has 2 to 3 canteens. Teachers are friendly. University has its own sports complex where students can play various sports
Entrance Preview
Well I gave many entrances after 12, and one of those was maths hons. Got selected in one of the top universities. There was only entrance exam having objective questions, no interview was there. Admission was given strictly on the basis of merit.
Course Curriculum Overview
I had done B.Sc in Maths. The best part about this course is this that they don't restrict students to one branch. They taught physics and chemistry as subsidiary subjects for 2 years. I have studied around 20 subjects of maths in 3 year including one programming language also.
Internships Opportunities
No internship was provided as it was non technical course. But for technical course students are given an opportunity to work with renowned companies like TCS, bluestar, hp, hcl etc.
Placement Experience
Students don't opt for placement after graduation mostly. Our main priority was to qualify for IIT JAM. So we don't go for any placement but for masters student the placement was good and the package was around 3.5 lac.
College Events
There are many events held annually. Each department held its own annual fest. Jamia's annual fest is Mirass which held in March. Along with it there is a taalimi mela held in October for 3 days on the occasion of foundation day.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees is quite affordable. You only have to pay at the starting of odd semester. Since it's a central university it's fees is not very HIGH.
Fees and Financial Aid
Many scholarships are provided. For economically weaker students annual scholarship is given. And the three toppers of each year of every course are also provided with the scholarship.
Exam Structure
Since I was in a semester system, the exam duration was only 2 hours. There was an internal Sessional of 25 marks and main paper of 75 marks. Labs were quite good.
Faculty
Well the best part about jamia is it's maths teachers (except one or two). They are well disciplined & punctual. They all have ph.d degrees. Some are complete professors, some are associate and rest are assistant professor. They are very helpful not only in studies but also in other issues.
