A journey worth sharing

There is no bad remarks about the college but one thing which I felt bad about is some of the staff does partiality with the students which are not from Karnataka.

I took admission into this college through COMED-K (consortium of medical, engineering and dental colleges of Karnatka) and the other way to get into this college is through KCET which is only for the students those who belong to or are the bonafide of Karnataka. The time I cleared my exam I was called for counselling, in which i gave preference to my course and college. it was based on the basis of one's rank. This is how I landed into this college. There was no interview process for the admission. I had chosen ISE (Information Science and Engg.) and I am pursuing it currently because i had interest in learning computer languages

This course was marvelous and there was a lot of focus on Practical Learning. This can be proven as we have so many labs and we are given different programs based on different languages to execute.moreover we have projects to create some site or any program which can keep the data of the complete college etc.There are many research initiatives taken by the college i.e. there are many regular contests on coding. We recently had Hecathon and Hackman2.0 etc.

the college provides many internship programs and it was a wonderful experience. one feels like, finally the time has come to make a self stand or the nature of individuality comes into the mind. The average stipend amount was 15k per month.

There were many cultural, technical events and managerial fests that took place in our college. They were like FURORE'17 ,HACKMAN2.0 , HACATHON . The average footfall was around 1500 and was conducted on the big scale and we all had a remarkable experience. Actually these events creates the personality of one and increases the moral of a student. Our college made volunteers among the students and assigned different tasks to take care of so that the event ends smoothly. College made everyone contribute their skills and created everyone's interest by giving cash prizes. College authorities invited many dignitaries for the fests.

The fee structure of the college is completely based on the means by which you have taken admission into the college. The fees structure for COMED-K students is around 2 lacs p.a. whereas it is around 50k for KCET students. There are many scholarship programs for students and can be availed if one is eligible to it. According to me the fees should be revised for COMED-K students because it is not affordable.

College provided many scholarship programs but i didn't avail any of them. No, college didn't help in availing any of the loans.

My college was excellent in terms of extracurricular activities. There were many competitions such as photography skills, painting competition , dancing competitions etc. I got an ample opportunity to explore my inner talent in painting. I really loved that competition and got 2nd prize in it. There were many facilities given to students to participate in this competitions.

There are two types of hostels , the one is Indian Hostel and the other is NRI-Hostel. Indian hostels are cheaper whereas NRI hostels are costlier but there is no criteria on the basis of citizenship. Anybody can take a seat in any of the hostels. NRI hostels are equipped with AC's whereas Indian hostels are not. There is twin sharing in NRI whereas four sharing in Indian hostel.The quality of food is average.

the alumni interaction was remarkable. College created a special event as Alumni -Meet which was a biggest platform for motivation to the freshers that how to go with the course for the next four years.

The exams are conducted in a free and fair means but the only worst thing about the exams is , there are 2 papers on a single day which is a pressure onto the students and makes everyone feel tired at the end of the day. Due to this one can not concentrate and prepare for the exam on the next day. The labs in the college make everyone happy as these are very interesting.

The faculty over here is highly qualified and they have experiences into teaching for more than 7 years. The teachers over here are highly interactive and approachable anytime during and after the college hours.The teaching standards are very high as teacher delivers every theoretical thing with the real life or practical examples, which creates the students to focus completely into the subject.
