Remarks

Good environment to explore the inner talent. Canteen area was very less. Placement facility might get better as the institution is gaining more acknowledgement from the organisations.

Entrance Preview

No entrance exam was needed. Ended up in this college through online admission. I scored 82% in my 12th examination and it was more than enough to secure a seat in this college. I name came in the 3rd and final list of the online procedure.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I was at mathematics so I choose commerce also I had very less interest in science while it was very difficult for me to mug up the theory like arts students. There was an option given at the time of admission between maths and sp and I choose as it was something I was good at.

Internships Opportunities

Internships were not entertained. Students were supposed to try to get internship on their own. Majority was not interested hence college didn't provide the facility.

Placement Experience

3

Placement scenario was poor. Only 50% of the students were usually placed. While others had to try for the jobs on their own from outside.

College Events

3.5

Festival was very popular. Many students from different colleges were allowed to attain the festival on the basis of their id cards. There was only 1 fest each year. Preference was to given to physical and outdoor games as the campus was big enough.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For B.Com the fees was very low as the college was a government college. It was hard 15000 rs for each year. The fees was more for the unaided category.

Campus Life

4

Opportunities were given to the students. Group dance and fashion show was very popular. Large amount of students participated and the competition was very tough.

Alumni/Alumna

Poor network. Communication occurs once in a while. Also students are least bothered.

Exam Structure

Exam schedule was such as 2 unit tests later followed by semester. It was actually very chilled while examination as unit test were supposed to finish in 3 days (2 subjects each day) and semester would take 2-3 weeks to finish. We had practical of only one subject which was mathematics.

Faculty

4

Teaching was good, even though most of the students already took some classes even before the college started. Overall teachers were very interactive. Most them were good at their respective jobs. The toughest economics was given to very experienced teacher and it was handled and taught properly.

Placement Experience:

At TCSC placements are quite good as anyone. Even the SOBO colleges and Mithibai don't have placements as good as us. So this is why I always dreamt of studying here because since last 6-7 years, Thakur College placements have gone better and higher.

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
