Likes
- Campus is small but got every facility and environment. Connectivy is good with near city.college is beside chandaka forest so you stay at a very peaceful and green surrounding.
- Sports facilities are good. Sports is encouraged here. Every year intra is held i.e.grand championship. Also sports society is very active here. Matches between other colleges are also held and pur college also participates in it.also we participate.
- Placement are good and study is also good. You get ample opportunities to shine here rather than at colleges with much higher student intake. You can choose your own field and can work for it . TARS society of our college helps in tech and innovation
Dislikes
- College life is almost very less as compared to other colleges. You get a lot of restrictions here .campus is small and infrastructure is okayish.
- It is a bit offside. It is almost 10km away from the main city i.e BHUBANESWAR and it feels like a bit rural area. Also most of the time ola and uber deny you or demand you extra cash saying its too far.
- Course curriculum is a bit heavy here. You have to work hard to get good grades. Exams are held very strict here and very hard.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was more interested in pursuing cse but at my rank I got ETC. Student intake is less i.e. 360 students per year adding students of all branches. Faculties are well qualified with permanent faculties done up to Ph.D. and temporary ones minimum up to masters. Every 4 months one semester is done and every 2 months there's a mid-semester.
Internships Opportunities
MNCs come for giving internships to 6th-semester starting students and have their exams and interviews conducted. They offer you the role of junior developer and also some companies provide you pre-placement offers along with internships like ORACLE. DELL also provides internships.
Placement Experience
The placement is good. Almost 98 % of students get placed. From the start of 6 the sem, you can apply for internships and pre-placement offers. Personally, I want to go for higher studies although placements are satisfactory.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee's is almost 246000 per year that's a bit high but ok according to private Colleges. But if your family income is less than 1 lakh per year you can apply for TFW quota i.e.tution fee will be waived for you.
Campus Life
The campus is small but you will get every facility and fun. Clubs related to every field are there like tech, dramatic, cultural, etc. Classrooms are big and can hold up to 150 students at a time. Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are good. You get 3 seater rooms in the first year. You can choose for single seater rooms from 2nd year as per your cgpa. You get a geyser and good electric connectivity. For mess, you have to take weekly subscriptions.
Admission
Admission is based on jee main rank. You can apply for our college through JOSAA. Students up to 70k rank all over India can get into our college. But students of Odisha have their own counseling conducted by IIIT bbsr itself and 50% of seats are reserved for Odisha category students themselves.
