Course Curriculum Overview
Course curries are based on GTU and are quite good, faculty members are very intelligent and help you in every subject. After every two months of the semester starts there are mid-term exams, in which probably 40-50% syllabus is covered. If you fail the mid-semester exam you have been given a second chance in the reminder exam and it is internal so don't get back or KT if you have failed in mid-exam. In the end, there are GTU final exams or external exams. If you fail in a subject on first attempt you got a back in that subject and if you fail in second attempt you got KT in that subject. The second attempt comes in next semester along with that semester's exams!
Internships Opportunities
In the 7th semester, the internship starts, and we have to do an internship compulsory. At the start of 7th semester, the placement is also getting started. Many good companies like Adani Group, Cairn India, Vedanta Group, and MG Motors give good placement to students.
Placement Experience
Campus placement is very nice in LDCE , Almost 60-70% students get placement in different companies. In electrical engineering, the average package is 4 to 5 LPA and the highest package is 10 LPA. A total of 148 recruiting companies visited the campus & recruited 787 students this year. Top recruiters like Accenture, Cairn India, Vedanta Group, MG Motors, Adani Group etc made a good number of placement offers to the students. The highest salary package offered was 25 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 1.90 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
You have to pay fees at the start of the semester. In LD college, per semester fees are 1500. If you're eligible for TFWS then you have to pay just exam fees which are around 700-1000?. We have to pay fees online and if we are late, we have to pay a penalty amount of fees which is around 500. per month. In the first year, you can get around 1000? through MYSY Scholarship for books and others.In other years the scholarship amount is very less because of government college.
Campus Life
The campus is very good in LDCE. There is a big cricket ground too. There is a volleyball group also near the cricket ground. On the left side of the main entrance, there is Civil Lawn in front of the civil department. the lawn is very big and beautiful, students sit there and chill out after lectures. ( We often go there after bunking lectures The social life of the college is very good, every year many events are organised by the college students. There are many clubs like ROBOCON, ROTRACT, Sahitya Sarita etc which organise good events, seminars and activities. The Lakshya event of LDCE is very famous and is organised by the ROBOCON club. Many students from other colleges come to the events.
Admission
The admission process is very easy, I got admission based on my board+gujcet results, you can check the cutoff of the courses and get admission according to your rank. After ACPC rounds, we have to go to college for confirmation of our admission with HSC and gujcet results Xerox and admission later.
