Remarks

one thing that i dont like about the college is the timings of the 2nd shift(11:45am-7pm). it is ridiculous to study even after 6pm.

Entrance Preview

To get the admission in the college one has to write the GGSIPU entrance exam. It is a very reputed college in Delhi so one has to get a good rank to score an admission in this college. After the exam no interview process is there. The counselling is done in 3 rounds. I was always interested in Electrical Engineering so I took admission in this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course I chose is Electrical Engineering, and the curriculum followed in the university is satisfactory. Labs are good and teachers try to clarify every practical in the classes. Research Initiatives are not that high but one can always try to ask help of any professor. Projects are done in the department by IEEE members.

Internships Opportunities

the college itself doesn't provide any internship but encourage every student to take part in summer and winter internships. the college has tied up with many companies to provide easy internship opportunities to the students of the college. it checks whether the students has done internship or not by evaluating the students after every holidays.

Placement Experience

3.5

the placements of the college is quite good. i myself is an electrical engineer and though not many core companies visit the college, i got placed in an IT company. The placements are generally good every year. Accenture alone recruited around 400 students in 2017 batch. companies like directi, infosys, accenture, zs, musigma etc visit the college every year and recruit a very large number of students

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees in this college is not that high. It is around 1.10 lakhs per annum from 2016 batch. I consider this fees to be pretty affordable regarding an engineering college.

Hostel Facilities

4

well i was not residing in the hostel but from the experience of my friend, the food and accommodation is satisfactory. there are only double or triple occupancy in the rooms. no single occupancy is provided. it is boys only hostel in college campus. a separate girls hostel is built by college outside the campus named maharaja agrasen sadan.

Exam Structure

There is only one mid semester exam of 30 marks in each subjects which is normalized into 10 marks. Number of subjects depends on the semester and stream you have chosen. Then 15 marks are of assignment and attendance. then there is 75 marks end term theory papers. the schedule is hectic but you get the chance to chill and participate in co-curricular activities.

Faculty

4

Every teacher in the college is very experienced and qualified enough to clarify the doubts you have. All the teachers that i have studied under have atleast done m.tech or phd. Classes are fun and interactive. Classes are not air conditioned but they are fully ventilated.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
