The only drawback which is also it's asset is the size of our campus which is over 1100 acres of land and it becomes too difficult for us to get to our respective departments from our rooms and vice versa, I stated that as a student but where as the campus officials would no doubt portray it as an asset which in general actually is.

Here we have a balanced curriculum, balanced in the sense giving equal importance to theoretical and practical learning. In a week we have four labs in 4 days, each lab for three hours. In a week excluding Saturday and Sunday which are holidays we have 18 hours of theory , pretty balancing out everything. As a sophomore you get a option to chose one of your theory course which we term as an open elective. This is about our curriculum.

Yes , and being a 3rd year I am eligible for it and had indeed appeared for 3 HR interviews so far. So far 21 companies came to our campus for the internships including all the major companies mentioned above. Amazon Microsoft and Goldman Sachs offered 50000 per month for internship and internship is generally for 2 months with 85% of the selected students guaranteed to get a PPO. All the remaining companies offerings ranges between 20k~40k.

about 85% of the students gets placed every year and the highest package ranges between 25~35 lakhs per annum. So far for our seniors Amazon Microsoft Goldman Sachs Schneider Electric and many other smaller companies in comparison have visited and the above mentioned companies came for the internships as well

We give a lost of priority to the fest culture and in a year we host one technical fest named Innovision which proceeds in the month of August , a culture event named Multi Ethnic which goes for 4 days , a special fest for the nation wide Architecture students and a campus fest names NITRUTSAV . Clearly we do give huge priority towards fest culture and its role in developing and improving social interaction.

We are right now paying 60000~65000 per semester , and i am mentioning the fee structure for 2015-2019 batch because it changed from our batch. Of our fees 18k~20k go our mess and accommodation . Based on the size of our campus which is the biggest NIT in the entire nation the semester fees are affordable as the loan giving options are also very easily get able

Our college exempts some of the students off their fees based on their caste and income certificate and help in getting a scholarship by sending us all the remainders of the scholarships in the country. Our faculty heads are always co operative and help us in getting the recommendation letter for the scholarships and internships

We have many clubs in our campus. This actually builds a student socially/. We have around 10 clubs for major branches including Computer Science ECE and Electrical. We have two clubs for dance and arts 2 clubs for photography , one club for the filmography, and one club for the social service and in addition we have our official college club which undertakes all the official on goings like weekly magazines and the official sites and stuff.

Our NIT contains 7 hostels for boys 2 hostels for girls and another one for PHD scholars making it best for accommodation. Even we can easily accommodate outsiders during fests. One of the boys hostel is the second largest hostel in Asia.We get single rooms from the 3rd year and until then we had 2 members per room.

Every year at the end of the term we have Alumni gathering where our alumni gives us their advises and we do have a Alumni panel which helps the final year students a lot.

We have a semester spread along 4 months. So in the ending of the second month we have our mid semester examinations justifying it's name as it actually comes in the middle of the semester, and in the last week of the 4th month we have end semester examinations. As we approach penultimate week of the end semester our schedule becomes hectic because we need to give lab test every day and the remaining of the semester there is not that much of stress

This is the best part of our campus. Each faculty member is a qualified personnel with half our age experience or even more. They are always responsible through electronic media such as mail and are always available in their respective cabins whenever we need them. The standard of teaching is also up to the mark.
