Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum at NITK stands out for its exceptional quality, offering students a compressive understanding of both the current industrial practices and the strategies to secure placement opportunities.
Internships Opportunities
The students who are in their 3rd year are mostly eligible for internships. The companies like Google, Microsoft Adobe, Deshaw, and Deutsche Bank are visiting the campus for giving internships. There are several projects like neural networking and socket programming.
Placement Experience
The companies like Google, Microsoft, Adobe, and Deshaw are visiting campus for the placements. The students in the 7th semester are mainly eligible for campus placements. Off-campus placement facility is also there.
Fees and Financial Aid
The institute fee for a Bachelor of Technology degree for 4 years of completion is around 6 lakhs. Hostel fees are around 4 Lakhs and mess fees are around 4 lakhs. Foundation for Excellence is one of the scholarships which I got in the first year.
Campus Life
There are two fests namely Incident and Engineer. An incident is a cultural event while Engineer is a technical event. The incident is conducted in the month March while engineering is conducted in the month of October.
Hostel Facilities
There are 11 hostel buildings on the NITK campus for B.tech, M.tech, and Ph.D. students. Each hostel is facilitated. in all the rooms there is one chair, table, fan, and a cupboard. The registration process is completely online in the IRIS website.
Admission
The admission process for the NAtional Institute of technology karnataka involved appearing for the Joint entrance examination which is administrated by NTA. The cut-off was around 99.70 percentile. Minimum 75 % marks in HSC is required.
