Awesome experience with great feeling to be a part.

The overall college experience is very awesome and I am developing my self day by day. First while entering the college i felt very insecure because here most of the students will be from north india and they have different cultures but later on i made many friends and I am now very happy to learn here. The only bad remark here is that the students missuse the freedom provided by the college. Many students get addicted to drugs, smoking and drinking habits which lead to spioling of the students life and dreams.

I entered this college through the entrance exam conducted by the srm university and in that exam i got a rank of 26,000. From the beginning i have a great interest in joining this reputed institute. The students also enter through management seats but the donations collected will be a lot which is around 5-6 lakhs based on the course we opt. There will be a counselling process held during the month of may and there our branch can be decided. In our college CSE and ECE branches have more demand, so for these branches they collect huge donations. I am very much interested in mechanical engineering so i chose that branch as my course of study.

I am quite satisfied with the course i opted because here we have entire practical learning with machines. I course curriculum in our university will be updated for every two years so that new technologies can be brought for study. We have entire sessions on our own choice where we can select the teaching staff and also the timings with which we are comfortable. Our college mainly focus on practical learning and daily we have a two hour practical session. Many researches are taking place in the college by students and our professors help us a lot in that. Even in our department our seniors have recently made new type of motor which is soon going to be launched. Even we get government projects to do research work and submit the report to the government of INDIA. We have tie ups with many international colleges in research works.

The college doesn't directly provide the internship programs but our faculty members guide and recommend the students for internship programs in top and reputed companies. The stipend provided will be based on the company we visit for internship and it will be around 10,000-15,000/- with in a period of one month. We attend for this internships during the semester holidays. The college also provides with onduty permissions if attend for internships during the college hours. Even inside the college some of the internships are conducted for which money will be collected and here we can learn new things on recent technologies.

Our college has stood in the top among all the colleges in and around chennai for placements and it also stood among the top 20 colleges all over India for which i am very proud. Our placement development cells plays a major role in preparing the students for attending the placements. The major companies visited Wipro, tcs, IBM, Tech mahindra and many other core companies visited our college last year. Almost 80% of the students got placed last year and the average package is around 4.5-5 lakhs per annum. The highest package last year 28 lakhs per annum and almost 15 students were placed with this package.

The fee structure will be bit huge sum which is of around 3-3.5 lakhs per annum and the hostel fees is around 1 lakh per annum. This is bit more amount for the middle class families. But the facilities provided in the college satisfies the fees they collect. Our college mainly believes in the saying that ' Right people will be created from a right college. So to make this true they encourage us in all the aspects. The donations collected will be around 5-6 lakhs based on the branch we opt.

As the students are the building stones of nations success, similarly the faculty are the building stones of students success. Our college has a very highly qualified and experienced staff with a very good knowledge in the subject. The share all their toughts which can perfectly reach the student's mind. They develop us in all the aspects such as developing communication skills, personality development, learning skills, develop grip on the subject etc., They are even very interactive and clear all the doubts of the students. Their is no partiality maintained for the students and the one showing interest will be given the first preference.
