Remarks

Undoubtedly the St. Stephen of South Campus but there are several areas to improve. The hostel must be expanded. The greenery is another salient feature

Entrance Preview

No, there was no entrance exam in Delhi University for our course. I had planned from my 11th class onwards that I want to come to this University. I am interested in the finance sector that's why I'm pursuing my undergraduate degree in commerce.

Course Curriculum Overview

I'm satisfied by the course that I have chosen. It is really interesting to study new concepts and focus is laid on practical learning as well. For our first semester the elective subject provided is environmental science.

Internships Opportunities

The college wont provide any internship as such but students need to find it out. The stipend varies differently regarding the internship we are doing.

Placement Experience

The college is having one of the best placement cells in DU with the highest salary pack of 35 Lakh and an average salary of 8 Lakh. All the big names how up for the fair.

College Events

Nexus is the annual fest of the college and is a big name in DU calendar. Be it celebrities or the crowd, Nexus has a lot to offer apart from the various Department fests.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure cannot be more affordable. It is about Rs. 11500 per annum in our college. This being the fees structure for almost all the courses I think it is very affordable to even the backward classes of the society.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are numerous scholarships for the poor and needy though i haven't investigated regarding it. I don't think the college eill help students in getting the loan.

Campus Life

The various societies are the places where extracurriculars develop. For Western dance, we have Nrityangana, Dramatics, Anubhuti and so on.

Hostel Facilities

Yes I am currently residing in the hostel. I think it is more than I had expected. All the rooms are double ones. Our annual fees is Rs. 84000 including everything.

Alumni/Alumna

The college don't have the long list of alumnus that North campus can boast but the chain is developing and its time fir the coordination.

Exam Structure

Our college environment is a fairly chilled one. We only face the exams during our mid-semesters and at the end of the semester.

Faculty

I suppose the faculty is pretty good. The teachers are mostly youngsters who are able to connect with the students and are able to solve their problems.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.
