Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen Electrical engineering as my disciple as this is the thing that excited me the most. Like most students, I am not a coding freak but rather a care engineering freak. Like every engineering college here the female ratio is much less than males. The faculties are however well qualified and have a deep knowledge and deep interest to teach provided you must have interest, time and patience to learn. We have two internal exams for every semester each consisting of 15 marks and 1-semester paper every end semester.
Placement Experience
The students become eligible for placement from the 7th semester. The companies that visit include TATA, ADANI, HEXAWARE, WIPRO, ACCENTURE, INFOSYS, MICROSOFT, AMAZON etc. The highest package was 35laks and the average package is 7 to 8 lakhs. Most students get placed by the campus recruitment drive.
Fees and Financial Aid
Here the cost of study is very minimal and even the hostel charges are very affordable. If you are a good ranker or have any quota you can also get scholarships like the medhabruti scholarship by the Odisha state government.
Campus Life
The college has an annual tech fest named HORIZON. The library is however not that well equipped but in the process of being big.YOu can get the books in your course curriculum however but have to go first in the row to avail of the service. The classrooms have green boards and smart boards also. The college has a central computing facility where YOu can easily access the Internet and use a computer. And also the entire campus is fully wifi so YOu can avail of the service everywhere. The college takes part in various sports meet organised by various colleges like VRIDHI conducted by NIT, ROURKELA and came out of there with flying colours. The college has an official literary club SOLE, a music club named UMEED, a robotics club, TWo dance clubs, One street acting club, one fully trained NCC group etc.
Admission
For admission into my college, you have to sit in the JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION conducted by NTA. After that, if you are from a general caste then you will get this college if you have a rank of 100000 and above depending upon the branch to which you want to get admitted into. Generally Computer science cut-off is higher than in every engineering college. As it is a government college that comes under the state government so the counselling process occurs through the ojee.nic.in the website of the state government. Once you complete every step of counselling there you have to come to the college for the final admission. Like every other government college, it does provide reservations to SC and ST, and scholarships for the students having a good rank. The college provides hostel facilities to every girl and boy where provided hostel according to their JEE mains rank so every boy doesn't get hostel allotment.
