Course Curriculum Overview
B.E in E &I is an interdisciplinary course that mainly has scope in the design, development, automation, and control industry. The class ratio is 1:60 now as it's an autonomous institution currently. There are 3 assessment exams before a semester. The faculty is more friendly and easily approachable compared to other departments.
Placement Experience
The students can sit for placements from the 6-7th semester. The students must possess 65% above in 12th grade and must have at least 70% cgpa with possibly no backlogs. The highest packages will be available and eligible for the CSE/IT students or for the students in other departments who are best at coding. Or you can also opt for higher studies by not signing the consent form to sit in the placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are higher since it is an autonomous institution. There are some governmental scholarships and LMS scholarships for merit students. It will be challenging for middle-class people to afford the fees if there is no continuous monthly income in the family.
Campus Life
There are many Hackathons and coding competitions for students to complete. E&I department also conducts National Robo-fest which is a very magnificent sight and knowledge to acquire. The inter-cultural fests are rare sights. The Library is a big repository of knowledge and is typically housed within a large architecturally significant building separately. The sports department is available, but the participation and tournaments will not be big. There are NCC and NSS for the students. There is a sairam UBA as well to help people via community service. Academically, There is a big international forum for engineers called IEEE and each department has separate student branch chapters.
Admission
PMC cut-off must be decent(70-75%). You can contact the office or the department faculty for admission purposes. There are scholarships available for low-income families(can be enquired at the office).
