Course Curriculum Overview
I chose chemical engineering because IGIT, Sarang is one of the best courses offered. There are 15 faculties who are present to teach chemical engineering. The facilities are highly qualified from different NITs, IIT, and IISC, Bangalore. In IGIT, Sarang we appear 3 exams in one semester two internals, and one semester. For scoring well in the exam one must be thorough with the syllabus.
Internships Opportunities
The companies that offered internships with Stripend are PPL, IIFCO, TATA, etc. The internship is for one month for 4th-semester students and 2 months for 6th-semester students. In the internship, we have to submit a report at the end to present the things we learn.
Placement Experience
From the 7th semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies that visited are Tata Consultancy Services, Adani, Mittal Groups, Q Spiders, AN/MS, etc. The highest package still today is 1400000/- and the average package is 450000/-. An average percentage of 70 is required to get placement. My plan after my degree is to get a job on campus and then I will prepare for Civil Service Examination.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for the course are 37000 per year which is taken once a year before the beginning of the odd semester. The college also provides scholarship opportunities by means of the Prerana Scholarship and other state scholarships. The students can also avail of a study loan. The college also provides job opportunities on campus. Companies that come for campus selection are Tata Consultancy Services, Adani, Vedanta, and many others.
Campus Life
The college conducts many tests in one year. The name of the annual fest of the college is Horizon apart from this Anweshan is also conducted which is a literary fest, and Arohan is also conducted which is the Annual Function of the college. Apart from college functions different branches also conduct their branch fests for the freshers and farewell. The college also provides opportunities for extracurricular activities like volleyball, basketball, martial arts, dance, singing, acting, painting, poster making, and robotics society. The students run two dance clubs Anonymous and El- Diobles, one music club Ummed, and one acting cub Gunj.
Hostel Facilities
The college provides hostel facilities. In one room there are 3 fans and 5 beds and 16 shelves. The meal quality is very good, the mess is hygienic and everyday menu is followed and the menu also has good dishes which everyone likes. Rented accommodations are also good and hygienic.
Admission
For taking admission to the college we have to attend JEE MAINS examination conducted by NTA. The admission form will be available on the OJEE website which conducts the counseling for admission into the college, the application fee is 450/- and the date for application will be announced on the official website of OJEE. The selection will be based on all India JEE MAINS rank. When the counseling starts and selection for the first round is released we have to confirm the seat by making a payment of 10500/- and uploading the required documents caste certificate (if any), residence certificate, income certificate of parents, employers certificate, 10th and 12th certificate and mark sheet and adhar card. There is also special reservation for students belonging to SC/ST, single girl children, physically handicapped, and economically backward classes. There is also some liberation in the fees for TWF candidates and SC/ST. The choice filling is to be made rank-wise for counseling to be selected.
