if u look on a broader prospective i would say they are above average.The thing you need to understand is that getting placed in a decent paying company depends on various external (factors not directly depending on the individual) and internal factors(those things which depend on you.

You will see good ranking in papers but reality is different. And if you are an outsider then don't take admission here and if you are not sikh then god bless you, you are gonna see worst college life one can have. Pros: 1. Aicte, ugc, nba accredited. 2. Good ranking to show off others. Cons:Reservation (for rurals, for gill donors, for sikh caste) makes you spend your graduation years with dumbs.

You will have to attend atleast 75% classes and it is so difficult when teacher doesn't know his subject and you will feel like being in some low grade school. And if you do not attend 75% classes then you will be detained without warning ( you will not find your roll no. in examination) and in next attempt you will have to give rs. 5000 per subject (again money making scheme).

Quite honestly, interviewers from Google/Microsoft and other big companies don't really care about your college, just like they don't care about your resume. This is also what an interview is intended to do - judge candidate's ability from his/her performance rather than background.

Fees structure is to expensive, some students cant afford to much fees, but they want to study in a top institute.I dont know whats expensive and feasible but our college had the least legal fee structure than other college no extra fees or charges were there. they use to follow the all the basic guidelines and even after the college got autonomous the fee structure remained the same.

I never stayed in hostel or PG, but the hostel fees was very less they are in bad shape except the new building but moreover the food use to be moderate and not to good PG are available very near and they were cheap too according to what i have heard the hostel timings were fine and strictness was less.

Well exams and labs are very good, we came out with a chiiled day.

In college all the teachers are well qualified, they have a great knowledge about the course ,study . The teachers are legend all have atleast 20yrs of experience, teachers are alot better than other colleges, M.Tech is must for teachers which shows its class almost all teacher were Ph.D so that gives an added advantage of knowledge and experience all teachers are very helpful and did there best.
