Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this BTech in Electronics and Telecommunications course because I had a keen interest in learning about that topic. The job placement scenario for Electronics and Telecommunications branch has always been good both in the government and private sector. The faculty-to-student ratio is about 1:10. The faculties are aptly qualified and have enough experience in their particular fields of study. The exams were held in an orderly manner with an interval of 4-5 months between semesters, in which two internals would be conducted. If a student attends classes regularly, then he/she could pass the exams easily.
Placement Experience
The placement scenario in the college is considered to be good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the seventh semester. Some names of the companies that visited are Adani, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Qspiders, Wonder Botz, Tata Power, Incture, Hexaware, Cisco, Tech Mahindra, etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
As the Electronics and Telecommunications branch is a self-financing branch, the cost to study in the branch is higher than other branches like Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, etc. There are two self-financing courses, namely Electronics and Telecommunications and Computer Science Engineering and Applications.
Campus Life
The annual fest of our college is AAROHAN and the tech fest is HORIZON. The Books and Journals are abundantly available in the library for the students to read. The classrooms are well equipped with smart boards or digital boards for enhancing classroom teaching. There are currently 2 dance clubs(Anonymous and El Diablois), 1 music club(Umeed), 1 photography club (Drishya 360°), and 1 literary club ( Society of Literary Enthusiasts). All types of sports including Cricket, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Badminton, Kabaddi, Javelin Throw etc. are played at IGIT.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are equipped with fans, lights, wifi Routers, washing machines, geysers, microwaves, etc. The menu is generally decided according to the taste of the students residing in that particular hostel. And the food provided is warm, hygienic and of good taste.
