Course Curriculum Overview
I got into the ETC branch of this college. The faculty here are fine. You will have to study the chapters yourself, either from YouTube or from any other sources. For faculty qualification, you can visit the IGIT website for more details. The exams are conducted timely and you must try to maintain an 8+ cgpa in your semesters.
Internships Opportunities
There is no such internship which college provides. You yourself have to apply for internships in various companies. The college provides the referral letter which you have to submit to the company applied for internship.
Placement Experience
From the final year, you are eligible to sit for an interview for placement. Major recruiters are TCS, WIPRO, TINCTURE, WONDERBOTZ, TATA STEEL, VEDANTA, etc. You can see the college website for more details. The average package here is 6lpa and the highest goes near about 18lpa. From branches like etc and cse 50 percent of students get placed. You also can prepare for the gate and go for higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
CSE and ETC are self-finance courses so the fees are high, 73000 per year. But there are 3 seats for TFW which reduces the fees to 28000 per year. This does not include hostel fees. You can apply for various scholarships under the government of Odisha and can get a scholarship of 20000 per year.
Campus Life
This college is full of fest. You will definitely enjoy it here. There are various fests like annual day, funfair, branch fests, sports meet, etc. The main tech-fest of our college is HORIZON. All the fests are conducted in the even semesters. There is a central Library equipped with an air conditioner and wifi where you can study. Here you can find every type of book you are searching for. There are a lot of classrooms and every classroom is equipped with a digital board. You can play every type of sport here.
Hostel Facilities
The rooms are good. In the first and second years, 4 students will share one room. There is no internet for first and second-year students, hoping they will provide it soon. In the third year, you can select 2 occupancy rooms or 3 occupancy rooms with very good internet. In the final year, you can select a single occupancy room or a double occupancy room with the Internet. The quality and quantity of food here is good..
Admission
You have to give JEE mains to get into this college. After you have to apply for OJEE counseling and give your preferences for college within Odisha. The cutoff for branches like CSE and ETC is high. For CSE you should have a JEE rank under 1,30,000 and for ETC it is 2,50,000. There are 3 to 4 seats each for reserved categories, for reservations like SC, ST, and Green card. The admission process is smooth. You will be notified on the college website when the admission process starts.
