Likes

The facilities available are good. Teaching methods are fine.
Placement system is most acceptable. High chances of placement offers.
Campus Life is not boring at all . A lot of fests were organised.

Dislikes

Only bicycle are allowed not any other motors are allowed to academic area.
Parents are not allowed to hostels. Accomodation for parents are not good.

As per my JEE mains result I was eligible for this course and I am interested in this course due to its placement package and demand in today's market.This course is the 2nd best branch in NIT Rourkela. The facilities are also awesome. The dedication of every staff towards this course is apraisable.

Internships Opportunities

Every year more than three hundred students got internships with a basic stipend of 40000 to 1.5 lakh . Normally internship program occurs in summer holidays. Texas , Qualcomm, Tata, Mahindra, Disney like companies provides internship.

Placement Experience

Every year a lot of public sector units and private companies visit our Campus and students got placed from final year . In ECE branch the placement percentile is 99% . Highest package was 52lakhs last year. The avarage package is 12lakh.

Fees and Financial Aid

As I belong to schedule caste,I got relaxation in my course fee but hostel fee is fixed for everyone. On basis of your parents income you can get relaxation in fee also. Students also get scholarship opportunities and our college cooperate for that . FFE , state scholarship, Jindal scholarship, Global scholarship are few of them

Campus Life

Campus Life is very interesting. Every year college organises a lot of fests like ''Innovision'' , "Cosmo'' , Farewell party, Fresher party ," celebraty night " etc. In this college there is nearly 15 clubs in different backgrounds like technical, traditional, sports,film and music etc.

Hostel Facilities

I am from CV Raman hall . In this hostel 2 girls live in one room. Single rooms are provided in 6th semester. We got four meals per day ie breakfast at 8am lunch at 12am snacks at 5pm and dinner at 8pm. Food quality is avarage to good.

Hostel Fee: INR 125000 per year

Admission

I passed my 12th board from Ravenshaw higher secondary school in 2022. Before my 12th board I appeared JEE mains and advance, I scored 92percentile in my JEE mains . On the basis of my JEE mains result I applied the JOSSA counseling which continued for a month in 7 phases, I got Nit Rourkela in my first counseling. After that the college invited me for admission procedure through Gmail on a particular date. The course fee was submitted there and I got admission in my college along with hostel

Course Curriculum Overview:

For csit the subjects kee changing accroding to the trendy stuffs that are currently going on but it was really hard to keep with that when all your subjects are changed and you have o idea or previous year qs to geta reference from. Exams are conducted continously with no gaps and its not a easy stuff students get lot of stress but still somehow manage.

A Complete Review of KIIT University from a Student's View

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students.The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini.The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs.The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

Placements are ok but majority of the placement are for the IT and Cse sectors, but there are some core companies which offers a good packages. Around 40-50 % students pare placed in the companies and more over most of the students are up for the higher studies and cracking GATE exam.

Placement Experience:

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

NIT ROURKELA THE ACTUAL REVIEW

I had a choice for chemical engineering in NIT Calicut,kerala my home state but i was not interested in chemistry so I dropped that choice and preferred electrical engineering in NIT Rourkela because choosing this would be more related to core and computer field which also was the one I was interested in.
