Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is thoughtfully designed, covering all the engineering disciplines like civil, mechanical, and electrical. Faculty members are one of the best. also, the staffs are very coordinating and helpful.

Placement Experience

Students are eligible for placement in the 7th semester. Various fertilizer companies come for placement. In my year HDFC Bank come for placement and 5 students got selected for the placement. But in the agriculture sector, the future scope of higher study is very good.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is 12400 for one semester, you can get a scholarship of 600000 per year through SVMCM scholarships and caste-specific scholarships. Also, the university also provides free studentship to the top meritorious students.

Campus Life

Life on campus is vibrant and engaging with various aspects contributing to a fulfilling experience. The annual fest is very energetic here. The library is well-stacked and contains a plethora of books available here.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility provides a comfortable living environment with well-equipped rooms, The facilities include a common room, tv, carrom, etc. The registration process for the hostel is very much simple. There are 7 hostels in the hostel.

Hostel Fee: INR 1200 per year

Admission

The application process for my course involved a thorough application process. Firstly, taking the WBJEE exam. Then taking part in the online counseling process. The application fee is reasonable, and the eligibility criteria are clearly mentioned.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I applied to Surendranath College in department of Zoology. But I didn't take admission in that college because this field of agriculture has better career opportunities than that one. I didn't get rejected from any college. The admission process In my university is very transparent and clear. Any 12th pass candidate with 60% marks or more is eligible to apply. Also anyone can get admission through the all India entrance exam conducted by ICAR. The overall admission experience is very good and clear.
