Jadavpur University:A Place of Dreams

I have heard many praising words about JU CSE. The faculty is very good, the placements are very good. The faculty members help me always whenever I face some problems. They are very cooperative and very friendly with us. They made the tough concepts very easy and crystal clear. They not only take classes regularly but also take exams. Sometimes the class test questions are a bit tough, but most of the time the questions are solvable.

The internship is given to third-year students only. I am a second-year student. So I have no experience of internship but as per my concern, many companies come to our campus to pick their interns. Apple, Samsung, D E Shaw, Amazon, Flipkart, Facebook, Twitter, etc. came to our university to select the interns.

Many eminent companies come to our campus for placement like Amazon, Samsung, Goldman Sachs, Capgemini, Polestar, Flipkart, Airbus, Royal Enfield, Godrej, Crompton etc. They selected many students from different engineering departments. The percentage of average students getting placements is very high in JU. Anyone can easily find the placement record of JU on the internet. I want to join a tech company.

JU is very much known for its very student-friendly fee structure. The total course fee for any engineering subject except Information technology is 12000 reps. in 4 years. The admission fee is 210 rps only which is nominal. Moreover, the university offers various internships. Many companies come to JU and select their interns. Those companies offer a very good amount of scholarships to the students they select. This year DE Shaw and Wells Fargo came to the campus to select the interns still now. Google, Goldman Sachs, IBM, etc.

Campus Life is very enjoyable in JU. I really feel proud to be a JU student. On campus we have the freedom to do anything constructive like singing, playing music, painting on the wall, poem recitation, etc. Not only are the cocurricular activities done, but many sports events like cricket, football, etc. also take place in JU. There are many fests in JU i.e. Sanskriti, Ibtida, Srijan(tech fest), etc. which are really enjoyable.

Jadavpur University selects students by WBJEE exam. It is the state entrance exam for West Bengal. One has to score quite well to be admitted to JU CSE. I scored 154 in WBJEE but I got a chance in Electronics and telecommunications. I joined JU ETCE and then after a few classes, there was a DC counseling and by that, I got a chance in JU CSE. But it has some problems. 1)many students apply for ju and then transfer to iit's but they don't withdraw 2) Ju had admission prior to admission to iit's previous year and it created many vacant spaces after final admission but this problem is resolved this year.
