Course Curriculum Overview

Chosen this Course as I have Interest in Programming. Also About the jobs in IT field. Student Ratio is good enough in our college. 180 seats are there and almost all are full. Faculty are also good enough for this Course. All facilities are having master degrees. Exams afe conducted by MAKAUT. Four Continuous Assessment and two Practical Assessment in College and th.e Semester are taken by MAKAUT

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 95000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure for B.tech 4 year Programme is 3.7 Lakhs and for B.tech Lateral is 2.84 Lakhs. Scholarship are Given by West Bengal government under the Scheme of Akyashree. Which provides every year scholarship to the students.

Campus Life

Annual fest are Sapphire, Console, etc. Various types of social organisation held in college. Library is also very good and big. Classroom are simple enough for studying Engineering. Cricket, Football are played in daily basis.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels Facilities Rooms are good enough and infrastructure is well maintained. Food provided in hostel are not so good as other places. Everything except food in hostel of Bengal college of engineering and technology is good.

Hostel Fee: INR 50000 per year

Admission

Eligibility of the Course was 12th Passed with PCM/B with atleast 45%. Given Entrance Exam WBJEE for admission. Applied for Counseling and allotted seat in Bengal College of engineering and technology Durgapur. The Admission Process is as other Makaut Affiliated Colleges.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

BCET Durgapur.Good campus but bad faculty and placement opportunities.

I say this earlier. First of all my JEE rank was little bit low, so I can't get any govt college. And at that time the CSE fees in almost every private college is arround 4 lakhs. But they asked high donation. Which was not affordable by my family. So I choose this college. Also I hear all private colleges are same.we have to do everything by ourselves. Faculties don't help us properly. And for admission you have to give WB JEE entrance exam. Other than that nothing. Also you can have a direct admission....Read More
