Experience of college life

college has an amazing infrastructure surrounding college supports sports and co curricular activities college focuses a lot on projects and has a research unit for that too. they have an amazing placement officer who brings out the best of companies for the students college is a little strict and not so free in terms of hanging out with friends and all college is in the premises of the city which is good as all the local facilities are really good

I have got a government seat through KCET (karnataka common entrance test ) . Sahyadri college of engineering has a lot of fame because of DT LABS which focuses on engineering projects thats why I wanted to join this college . I have taken E &C engineering ,there was a small interview and an orientation program during the admission . I mainly wanted to join this college as the sahyadri management focuses on building projects .

As I mentioned I have taken E & C engineering , I have a lot of interest in making projects right during high that is why I chose this course as it focuses on electronics which is a great deal in doing projects . Sahyadri is famous for doing engineering projects ,therefore practical learning in this college is a peak and right from the first year itself . Sahyadri has a team called as DT LABS who take initiative of the projects and researching as well . The college provides various courses like mechanical , civil , aeronautics , E& C engineering .

the college helps students in handling responsibilities and make the students well prepared for upcoming duties ,the main objective is to train the students as per the requirement of the industries,this is done by extensive industry specific training and internship, to enhance the effectiveness of the students aspiring placements. i have yet to get to know about it as iam still in my first year and hoping for getting a good chance and building up a good future.

the placement officer prof. rashmi bhandary essures the best recruiters for the students to get placed ,the placement office helps the students to get the rightful need for the students efforts.the objective is to give the students the result of they earned and the placement officers are playing a very good role in this section,companies which visit sahyadri are semnox,viseton,infosys ,indian navy,buildmate projects and much more.this year 432 students got placed out of 546.

there are many events conducted in sahyadri college of engineering ,many fests are conducted providing good stage for the students to execute their talents ,they are very grand and goes on being better and better in the upcoming years ,the organization conducts such fest fr students which sometimes is a real hectic

As I have got a government seat through KCET (karnataka common entrance test ) . The government fees was 56000 INR and the college fees was 29500 INR which excludes the VTU fees and other co related official fees . It is moderately affordable for the students as the college provides a lot of ambient opportunities which will help the student in their up coming future .

college helps told students to apply scholarship online ,there are no college which provides loan or scholarship by the college for financially poor of merit scholarship or post metric scholarship or pre metric scholarship,i did not avail any scholarship ,college has only given pay slips for the students to apply loan i the respective banks

college has research unit called the DT LABZ which helps thestudents to come not only academically but also project wise it helps the students to give basic knowledge of how to do simple projects and then excel slowly into doing a better one .the college has many fests and activities and provide a stage in every way to show the talents and abilities of the students.

no i do not reside in a hostel the college hostel is fine not so good but not very bad too ,it is in the middle when compared to quality of food and tidiness there are 2 person sharing rooms and three person sharing room ,the cost is around 75000 INR and 60000 INR .the food is good no complaints on that ,the college has appointed as wardens and security guards for the betterment of the sudents.

the seniors help the students as they meet up in the DT labz but alumni meetings are very rare it happens only sometimes they provide the students and the alumni to say their reviews about the college or how the college has supported them to come up here and get to know what the college has taught them over the past years ,the alumni has contributed a lot for the development of the junior and upcoming students of sahyadri.

exams are conducted as usual like most of the VTU based colleges ,3 theory internals ,1 lab internal and the final semester externals and lab externals which come up at the end of semester ,sometimes the students feel tired due to the finalising of dates they confuse us a lot regarding that.otherwise it is like a normal academical college

Sahyadri college of engineering has very qualified and experienced staff they help the students in their academics as well as co curricular activities , they are very interactive , friendly to the students they help the students in all their doubts clearing all the questions that the student has in his mind they do not let the academic score of the college to go low as they take up special classes for academically poor students . The standard of teaching is very good as the fluency and the ability to make others understand is really very good .
