I completed my schooling as a commerce student and being that I thought of exploring more into this field and getting the utmost knowledge in commerce, especially on accountancy, hence I chose BCom as my undergraduate course. The BCom faculty of my college is very well renowned all over West Bengal and the competition the students face to get into the college is tough, Speaking of my class it consists of eighty students and has ten sections. Coming to the faculty I have to say the faculty is very good they are very well experienced and they all have doctorates and they are very professional at the same time they will help the student in all the possible ways. The term exams for the odd semesters(1, 3,5) take place in February and the even semesters(2, 4,6) take place around August.

The semester fees are to be paid twice a year and that charges around 2850 to 3000. Hence a three-year UG course total charges around 17100 to 18000. The scholarship provided by the Government of West Bengal is the only financial aid a student receives, our college doesn't have any other scholarship program apart from that one.

The campus life is amazing in my college. We have 2 fests a year one in January and the other in September, famous artists come to perform in those as well as some come as chief guest. Our college has always been known for sports as we have the most number of Sports championships than any other college in Kolkata. We have all the necessary books in our library. I am a part of the debate club and martial arts Club we have twenty-eight different kinds of clubs in our college.

The admission process of colleges under the University Of Calcutta is very lenient and more or less the same for all the undergraduate courses apart from engineering and medicine. So, after getting your results of the 12th examination whether CISCE or CBSE you just need to wait till the admission portal of the respective college(s) you are willing to apply from here onwards the process is based digitally. The willing applicant must be ready with a basic internet connection and either a smartphone laptop or PC, you just need to go to the website of the college you want to apply to and they fill up the form of admission. I was supposed to appear for the ISC 2021 exams but unfortunately due to the pandemic. So the University of Calcutta decided to make the admission forms of the undergraduate courses free of cost. There were benefits for the applicants who belonged to SC, ST, or OBC categories and as well as sports quota. As for me, the admission process is good.
