College experience

There no such bad remarks about the college.The most positive thing of the college is that there is no politics in our college unlike in other colleges.Faculties are well supportive and there is also a anti ragging committee comprises of student union and faculties.

I applied for WBJEE And during counselling i was alloted to this college during my first counselling and after that there was a physical reporting to the college for document submission.

The course is all about graduation and there is no scope of reasearch.The college provides only bachelor of technology degree on civil,mechanical,computer science,electrical ,IT,ECE and MTECH in mechanical and electrical.And further more the college will be reformed as an university from 2019 onwards and all other courses like phd,honours will be added to our college course curriculum.

Yes it provide intership and the stipends vary from student to student.from 2015 onwards intership programme started in our college.

Around 60 percent of every department are placed.The year of 2012 is marked as the most renowned one because Microsoft visited our campus.companies like TCS,CTS,siemens,lavantage,SPCL,L and T comes for the recruitment procedure.Some of the are also gets job through off campus and company like amazon recruits.

Technical fest is known as sristi.cultural fest known as jeclat.Sristi is the largest techno-management fest in the whole north bengal.Students from other colleges also come to participate it is genrally organized before the cultural fest.Jeclat is our official cultural fest where many stars like javed ali,akriti kakkar,jal band and of many more performed in our college every year on the month of january or march its organized for a week.

It is feasible.that 12000 rs hostel fee for 1sem and college fee or semester fee for cse and ece is 7000rs and for IT is 14000rs and for ME,CIVIL,Electrical is 5000rs.The hostel fee fluctuate based on the expense in the mess.The semester fees is quite nominal due to it gets subsidiary from goverment.

Scholarship is given to the minority people and there is also a scheme of full fee and half fee waiver for those who have low income.Our alumni also provides scholarship every year.From state government we also get scholarships for minority classes like STs and SCs.

Campus life is good with a kunchenjunga view from hostel,college is surrounded by tea gardens.Full of enthusiastic peoples.The climate of our college is mesmarizing as its located in the hilly areas.during evening time all the year combines to play different games.near by railway track are there.

Its good.bathrooms are quite sanitized food quality is good.our college consist of 4 hostel for each years and separate girls hostel.Food quality is quite good and in every semester 2 GID are made i.e in that day some good foods are served.The hostels are cleaned in regular basis.

Our college is the second oldesr college in west bengal and there are many alumni spreaded all over the world when a fest is organized they donate money to bear the cost of the fest.Alumni association also provides scholarship and etc.

In a year there is 2 semester and in each semester there is 2 internal exams.the internal consist of 30 marks where half of the semester are given for the test.Assignments are also given,from previous year college has made a strict rule of 75 percent attendance.For all the subjects there is one lab alotted.

E counselling process first i was alloted based on my rank and then document submission.First of all in the couselling i.e on the first counselling i was alloted to it and after the document submission in reporting center there was a physical report to college for further document verification.

The faculty are well qualified some are having doctorate degree and many are from well known colleges passed out like iits.Every departments are having around 10 faculties except in department of ECE they have only 7faculties.The faculties are well educated and are strict on attendance basis.
