Course Curriculum Overview

Reason for choose metallurgical engineering is good placement in GCE salem campus so I chose, at the time I join in 2012 for mathematics -1 faculty members were not available for 1month only guest lecture are taking lectures one month not great lecture on mathematics -1 my 1st semester for other subject ok faculty members are good, qualification of a faculty member is M.E & phd holder good teaching on faculty members but only mathematics 1 lecture are bad due to lack of experience , I clear all my papers for mathematics -1 separate tuion has gone in outside.

Class Size: 61Course Fees: INR 13600 per year

Placement Experience

Placement on the campus is excellent From the 7th & 8th semester of the final year student are eligible to attend placement There is a lot of companies visiting my campus I discuss the course-related companies on my campus 1. Jsw steel 2. Titan 3. brakes India 4. Sundaram fasteners 5. LMW 6. Bharat forg 7. aqua sab and other IT companies like Accenture also some students got placement. Highest salary offer by Jsw Steel is around 3.5lakhs per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

1st year I paid roughly Rs.13500 including tuition fees, library fees, placement& training fees, certificate verification fees & others. 2nd year I pay: Rs.5500, In 3rd year I paid Rs.5500, In 4th year I paid Rs.5500, A scholarship of Rs.10000 was received each year for four years. I got placed in Brakes India Ltd with 2.4lk per annum.

Campus Life

Campus life is very freedom compared to my school life I totally enjoyed during while studying in that campus department conducted program "METTMAT" & then "Alumni" Then at the year-end campus conduct anualmet program that was very enjoyable , books in the library maximum subject oriented some books are not available in library, infrastructure is good & lab facility are good.

Admission

The admission process is simple I applied for Counselling conducted by Anna University Chennai application fee for counselling is Rs.1000 (SC- category) application date is in May month and counselling starts in June to July month, In the SC category cutoff marks to get government college is 88% to 90% for metallurgical department & also an application for counselling fees is very low compare to other categories after selecting a college in counselling then as per allotted date u need to admission in college by visiting.

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

Placement Experience:

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

I chose this college because I am a resident of this city Salem and wanted to be a day-scholar. This college is also NAAC accredited with A+ grade and also stands as the higest graded government engineering colleges in the whole state of Tamil Nadu. The transport facility for reaching this college is also easy for me as there is availability of college bus which goes around the city to pick up the students i.e. the dayscholars all around the city. I didn't get any rejection from any other college because I got this college in my first round of counselling itself and so did not go for any other options and was not rejected by any. In tamilnadu, government school may have some sort of issues in the parents' point of view. But their point of view to the government colleges is really high when compared to private colleges.
