Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course as this course helps to enlarge the borders of agriculture with the help of advanced engineering. The Faculty-to-student ratio is well managed following the rules governed by ICAR. The teachers are highly qualified and lab work is handled very professionally. There were 2 mid-term exams and 1 End term exam every semester. Each semester takes 6 months to end. Exams difficulty was easy to moderate depending upon the difficulty level of specific subjects.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies like Syngenta, Corromondel Limited, Pradan, Adani Enterprises, Flipkart, and Gharda Chemicals have offered jobs at this prestigious university. I don't know much about projects as they are offered while studying Ph.D.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for placements from the final year of their respective degrees. All graduates who are studying for a Master's or PhD are eligible for campus placements. Approximately 60% of the batch is placed every year. I think this placement will do better in the future.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for this course per semester is 6775/- Rs (Six Thousand Seven hundred seventy-five) when I complete this course. But now It's something like 10,000/- Rs (Ten Thousand). Many Scholarships like SVMCM, Oasis, Inspire, and many more can be applied.
Campus Life
Annual Fest is Naihrit which is the best part of this University. It happens every 2 years of span. Annual sports day is organized every year. Classrooms are well maintained with air conditioning systems and also smart classrooms are there for the convenience of students.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel costs are pretty much low here. The food is very good. There are 6 Grands or more (Special Food) arranged in every month. One of the best messes in all of West Bengal. Fans, lights, and electric sockets are installed in the rooms.
Admission
Candidate must have passed the qualifying examination 10+2 with at least three subjects out of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, and Agriculture as core courses and obtained minimum mentioned marks. Candidates who have obtained any diploma or vocational course after matriculation will not be eligible.
