Likes

There is no ragging in this college this is the first and the most important point. The faculty members and teachers are very helpful and they taught uw very well. Computer labs, language lab, class room are very clean and well sizer for education.

Dislikes

At first year (1st semester and 2nd semester) we got very less time to prepare ourselves for the semester examinations. We got the semester related books almost after a month of beginning of the semester. There is no extra classes for like games

First of all, I am an Electrical Engineering course student. I chose this course because I did not get an electronic and communication engineering course, so this is the only reason I chose this Electrical Engineering course.

The students from the 7th semester become eligible to sit for the placement exam. There are some companies names I am going to say that come for placements line tcs, Capgemini,byjus,vivo, Federal BK, and Flipkart. cognizant etc Many more are there.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is 1.5 lakhs per year ,the admission fees was 70 thousand, yes there are opportunities for avelling scholarships from the college. I am currently pursuing swami vivekananda scholarship.

Campus Life

The college also organizes an annual fest and tech fest every year, the fest commonly occurs in the month of January. The books are all available from the Central library of the college. There are many extracurricular activities in the college like NCC, gym, music room, gym, etc.

Admission

The admission process was very simple, it was not needed to take any college exam I just cleared my joint entrance examination mains and got a percentile of 63 in it and was admitted to the college.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
