- First and foremost is our placement cell . They work very hard to bring almost 40-50 companies to our college for placement.
- Faculty is best in our college . They are very engaging and practical and know how to deal with students.
- Our ground is very huge that like almost whole of the college students can be accomadated in it.
Dislikes
- Infrastructure is slightly on a bad side. Classrooms are little filthy.
- 67 percent attendance is mandatory which is not good.
- Principal is really very strict. He is very concerned about studies.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the bcom hons course at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College because of my strong interest in community and business studies. This course offered a curriculum that aligned well with my career aspirations in finance and entrepreneurship. Colle provides a comprehensive curriculum that covers a wide range of subjects related to commerce, economics, and business management. This diverse curriculum allowed me to gain a solid foundation in these areas which I believe is essential for a successful career in business. The faculty members possess impressive qualifications, including advanced degrees and expertise in their respective fields. the teaching method employed by the faculty is engaging and effective. In summary, I am satisfied with my college.
Internships Opportunities
Every 4-5 months there is an internship mela in our college in which several companies come like Upwork, zomato, uber, Unacademy etc. which offer internship opportunities to students with a 4-5 thousand stipend.
Placement Experience
From 5th semester students become eligible for placements. Various companies come into our college including BIG 4 in accounting i.e. Deloitte, KPMG, ey, and PWC. All 4 of them take almost 50-60 students each and also offer rich packages. The highest package is 23 LPA offered by DE SHAW and almost 80% students get placed. I am also being placed in RSM US company with a package of 5 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
Very affordable with gradual increases - 1st year 7000, 2nd year- 10000, 3rd year -12000. merit-based and financial aid available. work study, research assistantships, and internships are offered. average package is 5.8 lpa indicating good job prospects.
Campus Life
Life at the campus is very happening and enjoyable. The college organizes various cultural fests and events. The library is huge and almost all the curriculum plus many novels are also available. There are a number of societies that provide rich exposure.
Admission
There was no entrance exam, I got admission through merit which is my score of class 12. The whole Admission process was online and was very easy and smooth and I don't believe it requires any improvements.
