Remarks

To summarize we are quite happy with the teaching staff and rules regulations of college but just the infrastructure needs to be improved.

Entrance Preview

I appeared for jee mains and wbjee for entrance in engineering colleges. And through e-counselling I got admitted to kalyani government engineering college.

Course Curriculum Overview

I got admitted to kalyani engineering college in the department of computer science and engineering. I had a desire for learning more in the field of computer and is quite satisfied

Internships Opportunities

We are not offered internships directly from college but through mail and sourcing students get internships under professors. We are privided NOC from college only.

Placement Experience

We have quite good number of companies coming to our campus for recruitment. Mainly software companies visit our campus like ericsson, TCS,CTS,SPCL etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

We pay rs 6,500 for CSE AND ECE department per semester and EE , ME pays rs 3500 per semester. While IT pays 12,000 per semester.

Faculty

We have a good and supportive group of teachers. They are also available besides class timing. They help to understand things easily by every day life examples.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

KGEC REVIEW

I gave West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination in 2024. I scored a decent rank but due to high cut off of this year I didn't get good branch in Jadavpur University.
