Likes
- The campus is very beautiful. The gardens, the field and also the rooftops. There is a special place in the rooftops where me and my friends have created a bunch of happy memories and still creating. The faculties are very helpful .
- The students are very co operating. There is no ragging and seniors are also very good and helpful. The structure and overall facilities are great for engineering.
- Faculty try to inspire the students and help them to understand the concept of a subject.
Dislikes
- The maintenance system of the college is poor. There is nothing else to hate.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen this course as I love electronics components and wanted to know about it. There is at least 15 professor in the faculty who are highly educated to teach at least 50 students. They have completed their PhD and some have experience in the professional field. The exams are taken in intervals of six months and the reviewing process is very strict. They set the questions so that the students who have clear concepts can get more numbers.
Placement Experience
From at least 6th semester students are eligible for campus placement. TCS, Wipro, and Microsoft have visited at least 10 placements that were offered minimum. The highest average package for the last year was 90 Lpa and the Average was 5 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed varies from department to department. In our department, around 98 percent of students were placed. I wish to work in a multinational company and continue my further studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college is under State Government so the fees that are required are bare minimum. We have to submit 6000 rupees every 6 months as the charges for electricity, Laboratory and many other things. There are many scholarships also available which can be applied if you have at least 60 percentage marks. The SVMCM scholarship gives yearly 60k rupees to eligible students. The Ph.D. student gets a stipend and if you can't submit the semester fees with proper reason the university helps to pay them.
Campus Life
The annual fest name is fluorescent and they are conducted in March or April. The library is full of books. There are 4 floors full of books and the same book is available for many students. The classrooms are big enough to be called hall rooms. The LED lights and air conditioning system are also great. Kabaddi, Cricket, Football, Badminton are the sports mainly played. Some even have state-level teams. There is GDSC which focuses on the coding skills of a student. And many other social groups focus on many things.
Admission
Only the students qualified through wbjee could enter and you also have to get a very good rank to apply for CSE or ECE. And there is also another entrance exam called AUAT to apply to the University. The application form can be found on the college website and the fee structure is provided there. There is also reservation for minorities. I would like my university to increase the seats for wbjee students.
