Course Curriculum Overview
Being a GOVT. College highly educated teachers are available here but they are just okayish in teaching. There are 4 internal exams and 2 practical exams in each semester. The theory exams are not difficult to get a passing score.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for campus placement after the 6th sem, as it is situated in an offbeat location so not that many companies come for on-campus placement. Companies like L&T, COGNIZANT, ADANI, WORLEY, TCS NINJA, etc. The placement of the computer science department is quite good while in core branches most students opt for higher studies through GATE. The percentage of on-campus placement is 40% to 50%. I will go for higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
This is a Government college, so fees structure of core department is 3000 Rs per semester and for non-core department the fees structure is 6000 Rs per semester. There are facilities of availing GOVT. Scholarship like SVMCM, OASIS etc. Those Who are not eligible for this scholarship they can go for FREE SHIP scholarship in which students have to pay 0 Rs for semester.
Campus Life
The college is surrounded by nature the ventilation of every class is relatively good compared to other colleges. The library is quite big and every kind of academic help is present there. The official fest is called ESPERANZA here, it is organized by seniors in April. Many possible activities like games, singing, dancing, etc, takes place at that time for every student from every department can be part of those competition. We have various clubs like Melodies of CGEC, Tech o nics, Rongmilanti, debate club, etc.
Admission
To get admission we have to clear wbjee and need a rank up to 20000, in decentralized counseling the rank goes up to 40000, during the admission process we have to pay around 9000 Rs. Any other process except the Wbjee scorecard is not valid.
