My Own View Point on Dibrugarh University

I choose the course of Mechanical Engineering because i always had the AIM to become a Mechanical Engineer since my school days. Moreover i knew myself that I have the potential to become an Engineer. I took a keen interest in knowing and understanding the subject and choosing it as a career option. The faculty of Dibrugarh University is good and has a positive attitude to make the fellow students to guide and understand the respective subject he teaches. They always uplift and motivate the students to help them in studies. A quite number of faculty available in University and all of them are Master's and some are PHD. The semester exams are held after six months of a year and seasonal exams are held after two months. The faculty observes the students very carefully so that they can't fo any mischief and malpractices are strictly prohibited. Although the paper is based on previous papers and related to the course it is not so easy nor so hard according to my opinion.

The fee hike policy is a major issue in the University because it's so difficult for a middle-class family to afford such a huge amount of money. The scholarship system is not so good because the form never transfers from the department and the candidate keeps on waiting in the hope that he will get a scholarship. I never got a job on Campus but a few of my friends got one in Oil India Limited, Duliajaan, Ongc Sivsagar, and various other private companies. overall if I see the campus placement I conclude that it's good but I hope in upcoming years the placement will be more. By looking at the fees hikes campus placement is too low.

The engineering department arranges and conducts a venue with various events along with technical fest such as Lecture Series, Robot Wars, Marathon, Poem Reciting, Plant Trees, Music Band Competition, and DJ event. The library contains all sets of books and issues only 4 at a time with the help of a library card. All types of books are available in the library. The teachers help to guide and select a topic based on the present scenario and the students tell in the class thus helping to increase the IQ level. There are various sports events in the University where various departments participate and have a fair competition in Versity Week. Games such as basketball, football, cricket, tennis, badminton, carrom, volleyball, chess, javelin, long jump, high jump, and athletics are held in the University. Social clubs held by students such as the DUIET page on Facebook, Auxesis on Instagram and Facebook, and clubs such as Dibrugarh University Alumni Meet.

I qualified JEE MAINS entrance exam with a State Category Rank of 389. After qualifying for the JEE entrance exam I applied for the branch of Mechanical Engineering at 1st Counseling in Dibrugarh University.
