Course Curriculum Overview

I had a keen interest in Computer Science and Btech is a valuable course in our country. I wanted to leverage and upskill my venture of becoming a software engineer so I decided then and only that I would be a software developer/engineer. The student ratio is this college is a huge number but in terms of placement or during placement pools there are numerous companies who are approaching our college in order to grab young talented minds of our college. Faculty is well suited for our institution because most of them hold a Ph.D. degree in their respective domain and I feel that my embrace of their teaching is propelling my mindset and my urge to become a software developer. Our faculty section is well suited for our college. There's no doubt about it. Term exams are on time. We have two term exams:- mid-term I and mid-term II. They are moderately easy to pass but the real semester exams are definitely hard to get the marks out of the teacher's grip.

Placement Experience

5

We are eligible for campus placement after 3rd year. UEM is certainly doing wonders in the most vital part of an Engineering college i.e. Placement. Last year the highest package from our college was 72.8 lpa from an R&D Company and they took literally 8 of the students each getting 72.8 lpa. The average package of salary ranges between 4 lpa to 4.5 or 5 lpa. In essence in computer science and engineering our college maintains a 95% placement in our domain. And the other domains are really impressive when it comes down to IT or Electrical Engineering or Electronics and Communication. My plan is to grab a high-paying job offer from this college and I'm really thankful to this college for all the amenities provided by them.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since this year, there's been a fee hike of Rupees 40k per semester. So the full course fees come down to 6,20000 which is a drawback I may assume. There's a scholarship present for every student who's scored above 90 per cent in their respective board exams. It was a decent scholarship and our university has tied up with the IEM foreign group in order to assist students whose financial conditions are not that good to endure these course fees.

Campus Life

5

We had a fest this year around the time of March, it was a social fest. Many famous people from the section of poetry, and art were present to represent our different clubs that are present in our committee. The Tech Fest was absolutely Gorgeous to witness! There were hackathons. There were legit talent hunts in our college and many of the young talents came to showcase the essence of technology in our campus. It was a delightful experience. We have our annual sports at the Netaji Indoor Stadium which is a big stadium in our city. The inauguration of this sport was really impressive. Amenities are enough. Every student has the right to speak up when clearing doubts and the classrooms are near and clean and are maintained. The hackathon's cultural fests and tech fests are being maintained by the students.

Admission

My Stream is Computer Science And Engineering. The minimum eligibility for this course(B.TECH IN COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING)was a pure science background. The University conducted an Examination for admission. All students need to score decent marks or percentages in order to get through the admission procedure and then after that they are admitted to the college. If anyone wants to apply for admission in UEM they can contact the admission cell directly by calling +919831218149. Currently, the application fee is rupees 1k I think. And the enrollment of applications starts around the month of March. Our Admission procedure is well and defined, I think there should be no more changes, it's perfect.

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
