Remarks

Overall each and every facility been offered by the college is fabulous. No doubt the college has its name in the list of top colleges in Mumbai. Highly satisfied being a part of SIES family.

Entrance Preview

Basically there isn't any entrance examination been conducted for the admissions . Merit list been put up according to the students HSC Board marks.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is pretty good with a very good yearly curriculum. The semesters are divided in to 6 parts, 2 per year including 2 semester exam and practical exams.

Internships Opportunities

Best internship opportunity are offered to the interested and qualified students. 2 months of internships with no stipend is provided but it seem to be quite okay to gain some amount of work experience.

Placement Experience

The College provides a very good placements into very well reputed companies with a decent salary package the ratio every year lies around 70-75%.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite affordable for a middle class student and even for a lower class too as fee wavier scholarship are been offered to them. The amount lies in between 20-23k for a year.

The faculties are the best with a very good teaching capability and standard. Seems to be very well qualified and experienced too. They are quite helpful and kindhearted too. Overall faculties here are satisfactory.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the timings are great for students who wanna work while studying, but that only starts in the SY because in FY there are lectures from 10 to 1, that will give youll time to enjoy as a student, where as in SY n TY lectures will be from 7 to 9

I will rate 6 out of 10 because the syllabus it has old information. The special aspect of the curriculum is about branding, strategy use to make strong brand in the market. The area for improvement in these curriculum is to provide student the proper software for technical or practical subjects. (like photoshop, indesign, etc.)

I chose this course because I want to be in the film industry. I want to become an actor. This course helps us to get aware of all the media industries. Be it films or television or even radio. Now, there are even more fields such as Public Relations and Event Management. There is an almost equal number of girls and boys. The faculty have industry experience and are well-spoken. They help us in each and every way possible. The use of presentations and modules is common. The learning process is fun and easy. The examinations are conducted in a semester pattern. There are a total of 6 semesters that are conducted on time. The syllabus covers a wide range of topics such as communication, films, photography, etc.

Form third year students become eligible for campus placement. Many reputed companies like times of India hindustan times visited our college and got various students selected based on their caliber. The average package here is a around 5-10 Lakh per annum. Only those students who are talented enough for any post get selected for particular job. KJ Somaiya College is a very huge college and has a perfect system of everything. Proud to be a student of this college. They have extra curricular activities cultural forum fests and much more. Other from SIES, I applied for the same course in Ruia college and Somaiya college. I got confirmed admission form from Somaiya college but i didn't opt for it as the fees are too high compared to SIES college. I didn't get admission in ruia college because their cutoff was high.
