Course Curriculum Overview
The course I have chosen is Electronics and Computer Engineering. This is a newly launched course and it is far better than Electronics and Communication Engineering because it covers both electronics and computers. And also Placement opportunities are also a bit high for ECM students. faculty and student ratio is quite high and for one subject we can find a minimum of 6 faculties and a maximum of 10 faculties. The qualification of the faculty is PHD level in IIT's and NIT's. The exams are not quite difficult and there will be a gap of 1 month for each midterm and final semester exam.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are quite high on the campus itself. Top companies like Microsoft, and Amazon hire the students around 6th semester with stipend of around 1.5 lakhs. Don't worry about placements work hard and there are huge numbers of placements in the campus.
Placement Experience
The Internship session will start in the 5-6 semester and take some students for 6 6-month internships and if possible they convert it into PPO. and the placements, start in the 7th semester. There are a lot of companies that are coming to the college eg: Microsoft, Amazon, Delloite, Accenture, Visa, TCS, etc, The Average package is around 6-8 lakhs. The percentage of students getting placed is 60-70%.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is around 8 laks over four years of Graduation. That means around 2 laksh per year. VIT also provides a scholarship to merit students. and also you can apply for Government scholarships in the NSP portal of your criteria. Most of the top companies will come to the college like Microsoft, Amazon etc. and the package is around 30-40 lakhs.
Campus Life
There will be two fests held in VIT one is a technical fest called TECHNOVIT and one is a cultural one called vibrance and there is a three-floor library and you can find all the books& journals inside it and also the library is fully Air-conditioned. There will be a lot of sports and extracurricular activities going on the campus in which you can participate and compete at the state and National level. Also, there are a huge number of clubs on campus in which you can gain experience yourselves and these groups are run by Students only one such club is NSS(National Service Scheme).
Admission
VIT conducts its own entrance test called VITEEE. To apply for the exam you can just type VITEEE entrance exam in the browser and you can apply it. The exam will be offline and you can choose your location for the exam eg: Chennai, Vellore, Amaravati. The exam pattern will be based on the 11th and 12th syllabi and level of questions is medium and easy. Generally, the cutoff for the CSE core is around 2-3k. For CSE with specialization around 4-11k. and ECE &ECM around 12K-25k.
