The senior Junior bonding is so good & all the seniors are so helpful
THE STUDENT TEACHER BONDING IS SO GOOD!The hostel is good & teachers help in all the aspects!
The mess food is so good & you will get fresh air in the faculty as well

There is some defects in fans & lights in the hostel & a big hogla bon

Course Curriculum Overview

chose this course because it has so many future aspects. We can grow our science a lot with this. The faculty is appropriate for the available students but some dept need one-two more prof. they are all net-cleared & mostly doctorate! it's on every 6 months & not so hard

Aadmi project, Godrej, and other banking are available like NABARD, CBI & all Mostly it is helpful for business also you will get some govt. Job so easily as it is ultracompetitive so there is less competition & seniors always helps us to get the job

So basically after 4th year, you are eligible for most of the placements & companies ANY FISH COMPANY COMES FOR PLACEMENT though not so regular! Lowest 20000- highest 700000 Mostly you can do business with this course.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is very affordable Every semester it's 3910 without a hostel... Though some extra fees will be needed in a mess if you eat in a mess & with the hostel it is 5940 for 6 months or a semester. You can Get SVMCM, university scholarship & cast scholarship

Campus Life

There are no clubs as of now...but there are different committees for different events! The library is good so far... The classroom carries AC & projectors with proper sitting arrangement, Regular sports activities, & annual cultural & sports.

Admission

Higher Secondary pass with a Science background In the university site of WBUAFS, There are proper seats reserved for them & scholarship is available There Should be an admission test & the reservation should not be available

My experience was very interesting while pursuing my graduation in The Neotia University

Course Curriculum Overview:

The exam pattern was good. Moderate paper was there. Examiner had done a great job. For the curriculum we always had to pay extra money. In our 7th sem, we had all India tour, we did have any practical classes or theory exam still we had to pay for the practical and library not only that we had to pay for the trip as well.

Placement Experience:

From 4th year,students are eligible for placement.There are many companies like Godrej Agrovet,Nexgen etc. comes every year. Average package is around 6 lakh per year. Approx 10-13 students got placement every year.

My college my opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

Faculty of the university is very experienced about the course. The Faculty to students ratio is nearly 1:10. Every semester has two exams. One is mid-term exam which is organized internally for 30 marks and another one is end term exam of which questions are external and for 50 marks. There are also practical examination of 20 marks. Each students has to qualify both theory and practical exam in order to get dgree.

Fishery is a best couse to save job

After B.F.Sc 4th yr students are eligible for the campusing there are few companies like Godrej, IBM, Agrofet are visited this college for campusing Average package as per companies varies with their condition but 550000 is an average package of every student

I am a 2 nd year student, so I can't know about placement. When government announce for F. E. O post student get placed. 100 student get placed for feo in 2020 . Lots of fish farm and fish company is here

My vision to BFSc

Placement Experience:

It's not fixed at all. Placement is in the hands of the HOD of various departments. After a bachelor's degree students can easily afford on or off-campus with 3-4LPA. After my bachelor's degree, my personal plan is to complete MFSc as after the completion of my post-graduate job profile would be higher than BFSc.

Placement Experience:

Being a professional course as it is, the main goal is to train and create entrepreneurs who pioneer in the art of Pisciculture, its administration and management. Students can also apply for Government jobs, or participate in government funded projects in central research institutes, furthermore they can sought for higher education and research themselves, Choose teaching as their profession, and also seek a position in private fishing industries that are based generally on the culture and post harvesting, which is a highly profitable scope as well. Recruiters generally come towards the last semester in the final year. And students are eligible to apply from the (4rth year) final year itself. Almost all students are placed. I completed my master's from here from the Department of Fisheries Engineering and Technology and on completion am seeking opportunities for a PhD.

My Second Home

Placement Experience:

In the 4th year, students are eligible for campus placements. Students studying here mainly aim for Fishery Extension Officer (Govt. Post) but due to conflict of the demands, the recruitment is halted for now. Campus placements are not at all regular. The companies that visit here are CP, Biostadt etc. The faculty is planning to open a recruitment cell for regular campusing.

Me and College

Remarks:

College management committee has done an excellent work in maintaining the integrity of thr campus. With fewer student density, the association among the students and teachers had been a blessing. Not to worry about non academic staffs are helpful in their own ways giving this campus a glossy look.

I choose the college because Dairy Technology is itself a thriving course and career and our university ranks second among all dairy universities. It also provides an satisfaction to study in Biology stream who cannot clear Neet exam. This university also provide free transport facility that isthrough its own University Bus from Kanchrapa station (nearest station) Mohanpur campus and from Belgachia University Campus to Mohanpur campus. Comparatively it also gives a well to do packages. The political intervention or political choas are not present which is a great problem to most of the universities in West Bengal and in India. A student can opt for this course (BTech in Dairy Technology) in West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences (WBUAFS) if they have the subject combination of PCM or PCMB (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology) in their 10+2 standard and have cleared West Bengal Joints Entrance Examination (WBJEE) or Indian Council of Agricultural Research Examination (ICAR) with suitable ranks. It is one of the best colleges for BFSc course. First of all a online application has to be filled up, then a merit list is published by the university based on the 10 + 2 percentage of the students.
