Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

So the course curriculum is very good like this year they have introduced NEP so, in my opinion, it is good like in the Bcom hons we get to know about Management, Accounting, Laws, Taxes and more things. So I chose this course because I have commerce in my 12th and I have to make my career in the corporate field so that's why I am going for Bcom hons. The faculty is very good they teach in a very simplified manner and they try to clear all our doubts and if we talk about qualifications of faculty so overall all the teachers have done their masters and Ph.D. in commerce and some of them are from highly prestigious colleges like Srcc. Term exams are mainly conducted every 5-6 months and it is good enough to pass if you have studied well and if your concepts are clear.

Internships Opportunities

4

In Arsd the placement cell provide internship opportunities to their students like paid internship in which the students get certificates, Letter of recommendation, And stipend. The companies that offer internship opportunities in ARSD is wayspire, TransCurators, Magnik india, Amros consulting etc which offer stipend of 10 thousand to 15 thousand. And the role offered under this internship is like HR, consulting, Technical, Digital etc.

Placement Experience

4

So Arsd has its own Placement Cell and every year from all the courses students are placed in big companies like Delloite, Zomato, Byjus, etc. Students in 3rd year are eligible for the placements and students in 1st Or 2nd years are eligible for internship opportunities. So in college, there are many companies that are visited every year for recruitment like KPMG, Byjus, Blinkit, Zomato etc around 200 students are placed every year with a median salary of 4 lakhs and the highest package is around 8 lakhs to 10 lakhs. If I talk about my plans I think I will try to get placed in my 3rd year of college and further for higher studies I will go for the CAT examination.

Fees and Financial Aid

So the fee structure for a 1-year program is 15000 Rupees for Bcom Hons and every course has a different fee structure and the cost of the study is well enough like In Arsd there are no hostels so every student has to take PGs or flats so like near the college the rates of PGs is very high and if talk about some distance to college then the rates are nominal so the cost of the study is something around 10000-15000 per month including food... Yes, Arsd also provided financial assistance and scholarships to their students like in my first year I got financial assistance of Rupees 4000. And also they provide some scholarships to their students of amount 5000-6000 rupees.

Campus Life

4

In Arsd every year fest is conducted i.e., 'Tide' this year in 2023 the fest is conducted around in feb-march the fest is of normally 2-3 days and includes food stalls, singers, bollywood celebrities, and more. The college library is good enough like all the books of my courses are available so I don't need to buy any books and if we talk about classroom amenities it includes a green/white board, fans, lights, tables, teachers standing area and a projector. In the extra curriculum, you can play many sports like football, cricket, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, and badminton court. Also you can join several societies like FIC, Enactus, Rangayan, Nimbus, Commercico, E-cell and many more also you can join clubs like ABVP and Happy club.

Admission

So Yes, for admission to Delhi University, students have to apply for CUET i.e., the Common University Entrance Test in which they have to give MCQs based tests online at the centre allotted by the administration in which students can take exams of those subjects which they have already studied in their 12th and also they can give General test (optional means if required) like Here I'm giving my example so like I was applied for B.com Hons in DU so for bcom hons you have to give exams for 3 domain which you have studied in your 12th like Accountancy, B.st, Economics and one any language. So overall you have to take 4 exams which include 3 domains and one language. If we talk about the application form you can find it at cuet. Samarth.ac.in and also you will get benefit if you are belonging from Obc, sc, st, ews etc.. About cut off I'll tell you about the general category for North campus you should have a minimum 760/800, for South you should have 700+ and for off you should have 650 for bcom(h).

Other Applied Colleges

Banaras Hindu University - [BHU] | Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com] {Hons.}

Because i got ARSD college in first round of allocation in CSAS and it has several opportunities and good placements and environment thats why i preferred University of delhi over BHU.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
