Remarks
Nothing much to say about the college its very good college in the coastal karnataka region and is very much known and filed with lots of north indians, the facilities provided are very good and canteen is also veyr good.
Entrance Preview
We need to write Jee Main Exam to get to this college. I had set my mind beforehand that i wanted this college in particular. There were no interview processes,its just admission based on merit. I chose mechanical engineering here. I always had an interest in this field as it concerns with real world mechanisms.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course was good in terms of content, a little competitive here and there. Practical learning was also fairly good but not the best. Solve Lab and Hexagon were 2 project labs that were established for research and projects. Elective options are very wide ranged.
Internships Opportunities
Yes we will have internship oppurtunities in our 3rd year. Till now i never got an internship as competition is much in our branch especially.
Placement Experience
Placement scenario has not been bad as far as i know.Many good and dream companies come for placements here. The percentage of placed is also very good .Some of the major companies i can name are Microsoft, Google, Texas instruments, Volvo Eicher,GE electronics Oracle, and many more.(list goes on). In mechanical average package is approx. 9 to 10 LPA .
College Events
we have a technical fest called 'Engineer' held for 4 days. Also a cultural fest called 'Incident' which is also held for 4 days. One minor fest called 'Crescendo' held for 3 days or so. Im not much aware about the contribution of college authorities to these fests.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure was a little bit more compared to VTU colleges. In my first year i paid approx. 95000 rs. I havent paid for anything extra as i am a day scholar but if you want a hostel room or mess you need to pay for that too.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes college has indeed provided many scholarships. I didnt avail anu of these .
Campus Life
Yes there are many clubs devoted to technical and cultural aspects. Besides there is a sports complex also. Also one technical and one cultural fest will be held each sem respectively
Hostel Facilities
No i was not residing in a hostel. For first and second years the room has to be shared by 2 people. In third and fourth year we will get single rooms No PGs were allowed for students,they have to take hostel rooms if needed. The hostel fees per year amoubted to 17500 rs. Mess food is good.
Alumni/Alumna
Im not well aware of this. But i know that alumni support us in our college fests and also providing financial help for technical clubs. Sometimes our alumni members would also give us brilliant talks on thier life journey and such.
Exam Structure
Mechanical workshops were tiring but other than that all other labs were chill.
Faculty
Faculties are experienced with majority of them having PHd degrees and also experienced in teaching. Interaction depends on the lecturer,not everyone can be the same right . The teaching tests us on intellectual levels as is evident from the exams. The problem levels are bit difficult compared to VTU syllabus.Also we refer different books for our portion which is much advanced.
