Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I have interest in electrical engineering from the beginning and I was taking this course according to my rank in nit surat. As I am fresher, so, I don't know the faculty-student ratio but it is good. The faculty are highly qualified, and most of them are Ph.D.s from IITs/NITs. Our college has midsem exam and endsem exams, the distance between midsem and endsem is 2.5 months. The exam level was moderate. and also interesting.
Internships Opportunities
The college provides internships to students who are in 3rd year. Many companies come to take students for internships and some offer them PPO(pre-placement offer) For proper details please visit our college website.
Placement Experience
Students of the 7th or 8th semester become eligible for campus placements. There were many companies that visited nit surat for details you can visit our website. The highest package was 44 lpa and the average was 7 lpa. The placement percentage was 88% which was the highest of all time. My plan is to get a job only.
Fees and Financial Aid
My hostel fees per year are about 80000 per year and tuition fees are 170000 per year, this fees are for 1st year and get lower for 2nd,3rd,4th years. There is fee remission for students whose parents' income is less than 100000 and also another fee remission which depends on your parent's income. There are many scholarships and colleges have separate scholarship cells.
Campus Life
our annual fest is SPARSH and is one of the biggest festivals in Gujarat, it runs for about 6-7 days. It is a fest which has everything to enjoy like dance, music, games, food and many more. It is organized in March or April. our tech fest is MINDBEND where tech belongings from all over india participate. coming to the most interesting topic is the LIBRARY, our library is very good, contains more than a lakh books and many journals and a proper study area. here we have all the sports and proper courts for each sport like kho kho, basketball, volleyball, table tennis lawn tennis, etc. There are many clubs in which you can participate and for briefs of clubs visit nit surat website. Our classroom has all amenities like AC, FAN proper benches, and a projector for teachers to teach.
Hostel Facilities
Our hostel rooms have all the facilities including WIFI, LAN, FAN, TABLE, CHAIR, and BED. The hostel mess in Nit Surat is really good and healthy, as Surat is known for its food. The mess has all kinds of food. Hostel costs about 80000 per year and the registration process will be after josaa or csab counseling.
Admission
the admission process is simple, you just have to be updated on the NIT Surat website, and after josaa, the college website will get updated for admission. To gain admission clear the jee mains exam according to your category and the cutoff for this course is 25000 (last rank in csab another state). The reservation benefits were on the jee main rank.
