Likes

Academics is great . Good placements and infrastructure.
Mess food is very good as compared to other colleges
Hostels are very nice too. Washrooms are kept clean.

Dislikes

The college is too much academics oriented .
The Gym is very small and is equipped with not so good machines.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose the ECE course because of my interest in the field and upcoming job opportunities. Faculty to student ratio is excellent. The faculty is highly qualified, having Ph.D.s from even IITs. The teaching method is cool. Exams are on time.

Internships Opportunities

Internships are a must in the 6th semester. Many great tech companies hire students as interns. Financial assistance is provided by the college for projects. American Express, ISRO, and many other companies have hired interns from here.

Placement Experience

The placements are fantastic. Avg package is 15-16 Lpa. All the tech giants come for placements like wipro, google, American Express, etc. The placement rate is high. The highest package is 60 Lpa. Skills are given importance.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fee is 150000. The fee structure is okay, may be a little expensive for the middle class, but it's worth it. There are a lot of scholarship opportunities from the government and there is financial assistance for projects/startups. Campus jobs are awesome.

Campus Life

The institute is more academically oriented, so a little less "college life" than other institutes but the clubs and infrastructure are great. The tech fest is Meeraki and the cultural fest is Mridang. All the books are available. Classrooms are well furnished and equipped with the latest tech.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility is a little strict. Fans and storage is provided in the room. The mess food is really good as compared to other colleges. The registration process for a hostel is smooth and the hostel is affordable.

Admission

Entrance through the JEE Mains, category reservation is there, the admission process is smooth but can be smoother if there is more workforce. You require a percentile of 96.5 or above to get admission through csab.

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

yes they povide placements. After 6th sem, means in 7th sem you are eligible for placement and apply for companies based on their requirements. Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Environment of my college

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.
