Remarks

The college is very well established and the academics are great. The college will be becoming a great one in the upcoming years. The mess food in the college is great too. The placements are nice and they will be going up in the future years.

Course Curriculum Overview

The exams are quite often. There are two Cycle tests every semester along with two unit tests conducted just before the cycle tests. Along with that, there are the end-semester exams. The grading is relative and the difficulty is moderate.

Internships Opportunities

The best thing about our college is the internship opportunities. They have a good industrial partnership and the sixth semester is reserved completely for the internship. The college provides internship assistance in many big companies.

Placement Experience

The placements at our institute are decent. The average package was 15lpa and the highest was 60lpa. Many of renowned companies like Amazon, Microsoft, etc. Visit the campus and almost 95 percent of the students get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of our college is suitable. It has approx 1.8 lakhs of tuition fees and 80 thousand of the hostel and mess fees for a year. The college provides scholarships and SBI loans are easy to get here with less interest for the students.

Campus Life

The name of the annual cultural fest is Mridang which is indeed a great fest. Our tech fest which is Meraki is a great one too. The fests are usually conducted in the month of September. There are a lot of extracurricular activities which one can do on the campus.

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Environment of my college

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.
