Course Curriculum Overview
I chose mathematics as my graduation course as I had an interest in it and my relatives and friends suggested this to me as mathematics has applications in many domains so it can provide good oppurtunities in future. The faculties here are overall good and the majority hold Phd degrees some of them are from IITS. Within 3-4 months sem exams are there and exams used to be moderate in level and no such difficulty is there regarding passing the examinations.
Internships Opportunities
Internship oppurtunities from Companies like CARS 24, Tech Curators, Amros, Alea etc. are there in the college placement cell and various job profiles are offered there like marketing, research associate, sales etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees actually vary from course to course in maths its about 16000 per yr not including the examination fees which need to be paid during exam form filling. The fees are quite affordable but still, it becomes a little difficult to afford for the students of very low academic economic backgrounds. There are few concessions and scholarship programmes for the financial assistance of students from poor economic backgrounds.
Campus Life
The campus is overall very good if we don't compare it with north campus colleges. The student crowd here is very helpful and cooperative in nature. Various societies are there for singing, dancing, debate, music etc. Also, there are societies like NSS and CDF for social work and services run by students. Annual fests are conducted for every society and also there is an annual cultural first named 'TIDE' which is also very entertaining and enjoyable but there were no good celebrities last year. For food amenities, we have a canteen along with Nescafe and mother diary.
Admission
I was admitted to my college through the CUET exam in Bsc maths hons. All the details of this examination were there on the NTA website and the eligibility of maths hons is the marks of 4 subjects that were mentioned on the DU Information brochure. Details regarding the application form, fees and dates of college were all mentioned on the DU admission website. The process of admission was comfortable for me.
