Course Curriculum Overview

I chose the ECE course as ECE graduates are in high demand for tele communication, IT, defence and aerospace. The faculty: student ratio is 1:30 . All The faculty are awarded doctorates in top Indian colleges. The faculty here makes all the concepts clear right from the basics. Exams conducted here are in a range of moderate to easy levels.

students become eligible for college placements from the 7th semester. KLA, AMD, Congruent, Quantrium and so on are the companies that offer placements for our students. the highest package offered is 36LPA and the average package is 10.2LPA. 75% of students got their jobs in campus placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

the tution fee per semister in our college is 66000 ruppes. There are no fee waiver schemes available but scholarships are available. One of them is Merit-cum-Means scholarships of rupees 1000 per month are sanctioned to 25% of eligible B.Tech students.

Campus Life

Vashisht and Samgatha are the annual technical fest celebrated in the month of March. There are also many other cultural and technical fests. the availability of books in the library and the amenities in the classroom are good enough. Yuvaan is a sports event that is held in IITDMK.

Admission

The students will be eligible for the ece course in iiitdmk if they secure a jee main rank under 20000 followed by jossa counselling. students can apply for the programme on the official website of JEE Main and register for JoSSA counselling.

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

I applied to NIT CALICUT NIT SURATKAL, NIT TRICHY. For my trial round i got nit suratkal for EEE. But i shifted it to down and kept iiitdmk up..I chose this as it was the only college with Smart Manufacturing. Course and i was intrested in the way the curriculum was set including Cs,ece,eee Nd mechanical.As my jee score was not great to enter cse courses in nit calicut i got rejected there.
