What Students Say
Likes
- we can choose our class timings and slots.
- campus is huge and partially filled with greenery
- infrastructure is good with new buildings upcoming in campus.
Dislikes
- As intake is huge almost everywhere there are crowds and waiting time.
- vegetarian food options are very limited, only 1 outlet is pure vegetarian in whole campus.
- placements are scarce due to heavy intake.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because it had scope, the faculty-student ratio is 1:70, all faculties are phds and qualified but there are exceptions, the exams are as planned and passing is not a big deal unless you have come unprepared.
Fees and Financial Aid
The cost to study varies from 8 lakhs to 20 lakhs based on rank, there are no specific scholarships and financial assistance, there are scholarships based on family income from the government and job opportunities are scarce considering the population of VIT which is over 8k per batch per campus.
Campus Life
There are multiple fests on campus but as there is too much population due to VITs intake, there will be heavy crowds and chaos, libraries are good with air conditioning and books on almost every topic you'd require. classrooms are basic with benches and boards, and sports events exist but for dayscholars, it's hard to participate because of timings, there are many clubs on campus like the dance club run by students as well as faculties.
Admission
The admission process was ranked based on an exam called VITEEE, the fee structure depends on the rank, The application form can be found at vit official site, there are no reservations, improvement can be made to the fee structure, people with lower ranks are able to get in with higher fees.
Other Applied Colleges
SRM Institute of Science and Technology - [SRMIST] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
