Bith sweet and sour

Infrastructure should be the priority of our college now. Also, campus politics is sometimes disturbing. Rest, I have mentioned in the above questions.

I got in here by the Delhi University cutoffs where I was getting options of joining PGDAV, Mata Sundari and this Deshbandhu. So, after a little bit background research from my contacts, I decided to join Deshbandhu. I secured highest marks in Chemistry in my board exams and I loved this subject since my school time, so I decided to take up my interest.

Deshbandhu has probably the best faculty available in Chemistry in DU and so the course is very detailed. The course is same throughout the university but due to the difference of faculty, I really find our course good. Our teachers are involved in some projects from different parts of the country.

College has various societies that undertake this initiative of internships. I was not a part of the society, so never went for it. The college and teachers do help students for getting internships.

There are no placements in Chemistry department as such and I don't know about other departments. B.Sc. Chemistry Hons actually demands a postgraduate degree for fetching jobs so I think this is the reason for no sound placement activity in our department.

Yearly college fests along with separate departmental fests are organized at college level. College provides funds for these events while they last for around 2-3 days. The organization of these fests was average and authorities contribute just little bit.

DU colleges have a minimal fee when compared to the private school that I passed out from. For the duration of 3 years for my undergraduate course, I will have to pay a total of 30k almost.

No, the college doesn't provide any internship. Some university level scholarship might be running, but I'm not aware of that.

The best part about college is the level of exposure that it provided. Ample opportunities for everyone to learn, work and excel in their fields of interest.

No hostel in out college. Yes, our college is surrounded by many PGs and a lot of college students from other parts of the country live there. But I lived at my place only because I live near my college.

Met them only once when our department teachers called them for speaking in a seminar. Could not interact much with them that time.

Absolute fun while giving theory and practical exams. Not at all hectic or tiring.

Our faculty comprises of all Doctorates who are dedicated to their work and the teachings -learning process. The standard of teaching is good. I can say that our teachers are helpful but are lazy too.
