Remarks

Overall college is good. If you are looking for a college that can only provide you with the good education, right skills, placement and social life, then I would highly recommend it to you. College ground and sports festivals arrangments need to be improved. The ground is very small. College management is good.

Entrance Preview

I took IPU CET examination to get into my college. After thorough research, I found MAIT to be the best college in terms of placement and faculty. I also took suggestions from some of my friends who were already studying in this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum was quite up to the industry requirements. All the subjects were taught in deep. You can get all updates in course curriculum on college website and IP university website. The course curriculum is regularly updated. You will get to known deep insights on all subjects and that will help you a lot to match industry requirements.

Internships Opportunities

College suggested us some companies to join for internships. They don't provide much help to get into companies. This point needs to be improved. We found it difficult to find internships. Doing an internship in the second year is mandatory and you get marks for it.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements are the best point of this college. There are 100% placements guaranteed. Many big and small companies visit our college every year like Infosys, Accenture, Ion Trading, Mu Sigma. Students get options to choose from different job profiles. Average Salary package you can get is 3.5 LPA.

College Events

3.5

The college organizes an annual festival each year. Another big festival is Techsurge & Mridang which is a tech and cultural festival organized by students and college faculties each year. Techsurge & Mridang, are only good festivals in this college, but the standards are really not that high. The timing of the fest has always been late, with the fest being held mostly in mid-March.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is different for all the courses. I would say its quite expensive compared to other IP university college and main campus. You have to pay late fee fines if you don't pay your fees on time, although the fine is not too much. The fee has to be submitted once a year in the month of August-September.

Fees and Financial Aid

Only Meritorious Students are awarded the Scholarships by the Maharaja Agrasen Institute of technology. This Scholarship is in the form of fee waivers and financial assistance. I don't think college provide any loan facilities, you have to arrange it all by yourself.

Campus Life

3

Labs: These are some of the best labs in an engineering college in Delhi, and a lot many kinds of equipment are present. The use of almost all kinds of machines is a part of the curriculum, so that is the good point. Extra-Curricular Activities And College Fest: Although there are some great cultural societies in the college, like Aayam (Dramatics Society), Funk In Motion and Aura (Dance Societies), extra-curricular activities are not promoted well and emphasized on in the college. There aren't any Sports or Technical Societies in the college. There existed some technical societies when I had joined, but they fizzled out quick. Except for the Volleyball Tournament that has been taking place for the last 2-3 years, there hasn't been any sports activity for long.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I didn't opt for the hostel but many of my friend's opted for it. So I know a little bit from what they used to tell me. Hostel facilities are quite satisfactory. It is situated in the centre of campus comprising of four blocks. All the hostel rooms are equipped with basic necessities like a bed, fan, pillow, mattress etc. Hostel warden supervises the mess. Food quality of mess is also good. You won't face any ragging, discrimination or other issues.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network of MAIT is getting stronger each day. Insitute organises alumni activities regularly where all batch mates get to reunite.Alumine seminars, lectures and workshops are organised by alumni relation group.

Exam Structure

Exam Structure same as IP university. We used to have 2 internal theory exams, 1 internal lab practical, 1 external lab practical and then finally external theory examination for each subject in each semester. But this format has been changed 2 years back. Now they have only one internal theory examination.

Admission

I took CET 2013 which is an IP university exam to get into IP university colleges for various courses. On basis of my rank in CET I checked out cut-offs and went through the process in the college. Admission is not that difficult. You just have to submit some documents and go through an interview and you are on board.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty of college is very co-operative and helpful. They are best in their respective domains and teach very well. I never faced any kind of problem from faculty side. They give their best to help and know you all the topics. They will help you even after you get passed out. You can always come back to them for any help or suggestions regarding your future career options.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
